1 click for 4 totems ?Follow

I thought I read in the patch notes that, with the new toolbar, you could pre-select your 4 totems and 1 click to place all 4 on the ground. I must be wrong...so where is the advantage of the new toolbar ? I currently use a macro.
Thanks

Have you trained the new skills? Visit your trainer and pick those up first. You get Call of the Elements at 30, Call of the Ancestors at 40 and Call of the Spirits at 50. You'll be able to store a different set for each Call.

If you use the default UI, you'll notice four new totem icons above your action bar. Once you train the skills, you can assign a group of totems to one of the Call buttons (Call button will show up on the left side of the toolbar). Move the Call button on to your hot bar and click. 4 totems at once. Works pretty smooth if you ask me and will free up quite a few action bar slots.

If you have a customized UI, that may need to be updated first to accomodate the new totem toolbar.

You can also set a keybind for each of the calls from the default keybindings UI without having to drag it to your action bar. I still have specific totems on my action bar for situational use (ie. tremor, cleansing, grounding, earth/fire elemental) so I can just replace a totem instead of spending the mana to re-drop all four, but the ability to drop 4 totems at once is awesome.

I have been using Flo Totem bar to keep track of all my totems. It sits right above the default UI. Does this mean I can get rid of this add on by using the new ability?

Also, since I'm such a newb at times, I'm still carrying (in my bags) the original items I got for each of the totem classes. I understand there is a relic or idol now that I can equip so I don't have to carry around 4 extra items (and the name escapes me) anymore.

Where should I have gotten that from?

Thanks

Any benefit provided by totem add-ons is now mostly cosmetic. I know some people prefer having larger and more visible totem timers displayed on the screens. As far as function, however, yes, I would say you should be able to get rid of your totem add-ons.

It's not a special item you need to equip or keep in your bag. Any equippable relic, such as Totem of the Bay, Totem of Misery, etc., will count as the only totem you need to carry.

It's a quest from a shaman trainer (I got it from the one in Ironforge). He sends you to talk to a new Earthen Ring NPC (in the case of Ironforge, he's standing like 3 feet away) who merges your 4 totems into one. Super straightforward shenanigan.

As mentioned above (and in another thread on the General Forums), you never had to carry those four totems with you for a while now. You've always been able to just keep them in the bank and it'd still work (especially since you're carrying around your relic totem anyway). Smiley: smile

I fail at keeping up with the times, but am now free of those items and WOOT..i'm liking the new totem drop feature. Course the only problem becomes, which totems for which groups. I tried setting up a basic set, a cleansing/healing set, and the third one I think has anti caster/tremor stuff.

What did you guys set up yours with???

You can't plan for every contingency, so it's better to just avoid typesetting the situational totems in your calls. As Resto, for example, I have two of the calls set to general instance/raid totems with the only variation being WoA or WF for a caster or melee-heavy group respectively, and then one call for my PvP totems. If I need Tremor or Cleansing (or whatever) in PvE I just lay it.
