Which weapon's better? (Really confused here) :: Free Realms

Hiya rogues.

Alright, so, all along, I've used the damage range in my character information window to tell me what gear to wear if I had more than one option.

I am combat specced, and I have 2 weapons that would be good for my MH.

Now usually, I'd wear the Gleaming Iceblade without seconds thoughts, it gives more AP and has almost same dmg range and more DPS... Only slightly faster than Jagged Icefist.
However, I noticed today that when I put on the Gleaming Iceblade, the dmg range in my character information window decreases. :O

This got me really confused, should I or should I not use it?

And how do I know which weapon is better for my MH/OF? Do I look at the dmg range in character info. window and compare?

Need some clarification please. Thanks a lot in advance.

Just a guess, but your weapon skill with swords is probably below cap (also affects crit at least). Make sure it's capped out, then look at your damage range.

What weapon specialization have you specced into? One of those is a sword and one is a fist. Also, there's more to it than just looking at the damage in your character window. You have to consider poisons and how the weapon affects their application and such. Things like hit will affect any weapon you equip.

So, what's your weapon specialization?

I'm sword specc'd. so, I guess it's only smart to use a sword. But hey, how does it affect how often my poisons are applied?
