How important is SP for locks?
Also am I gearing properly for a smooth leveling process?
I don't know how to link my armory so I'll give the toon info. (sorry for the nubness)

Toon is "Smii" 44 B-Elf Warlock on Exodar.

Thanks, Smo-

Next to +hit, +SP is your most important stat.

Hit (until cap) > SP > Haste/Crit/Spirit. Depending on your gear bonus/glyphs you might place Spirit at a higher priority than Crit. But IMO Haste > Spirit.

As long as you're keeping your gear required lvl near your current lvl, you should be fine as far as gear. If not, try grabbing a few quests for an instance of your lvl and heading there. If you can't find quests, that's fine too. Ask a high lvl guildy/friend to run you through an instance that is your lvl and ask to keep any gear drops that are upgrades.

hes just talking about for leveling purposes, yes, SP is what ur main goal is while leveling but what Aniclator is still correct but that applies at end game as your hitting lvl 80. Also crit is nice to get while you are leveling if you just like to watch big numbers flash across your screen. Just one last thing, don't sacrifice large amounts of stam and intel for SP otherwise ur going to end up very squishy and ur lvling will involve a lot of corpse running, otherwise GL

I wouldn't worry too much about gear until you start getting towards endgame stuff, or at least until Northrend when really decent gear starts dropping.

But yes, Spellpower is your most important stat in general. Hit, haste, spirit, and crit are all important as well. Stamina & Intellect just kind of show up on gear and you don't really need to go out of your way to worry about it.

I guess while leveling the thing to note is that some staves, daggers, swords, etc. are good 'lock stuff and some aren't. You don't want the ones with agility, strength or any of that garbage. Those are melee-class weapons, not caster weapons. Staff with SP & INT? good. Staff with STR & STAM? no good.

Just checked the armory and see you have a BoA staff so I'm guessing you generally know what you're doing.

Ya, some of your gear is a bit outdated for your level (I see a 23 and some 32's) but that happens while leveling it seems. Personally I don't think it's a big deal if you can go on about leveling without having many problems. Like somebody else said, if you feel like you're struggling a bit then try and hit up some instances or bite the cost and buy an upgrade piece. Usually though, just going through quest cahins will get you 95% of what you need to stay current.

Thanks for the replies. I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting too comfortable with a bad habit so to speak.
