Black Ice...what to enchant?Follow

Okay, so I'm the happiest kitty ever. I won Black Ice tonight in 10 EoE. I have to admit that since Wrath started I have DREAMED of having this weapon and I got it with absolutely no competition. Its not very often I go nuts over a piece of gear. In fact, I don't think I ever have gone nuts over a piece of gear (although Life and Death for my paladin was pretty close). This to me is the coolest looking weapon in the game and the stats are amazing. At least for me who will most likely not see much 25 man or Ulduar content.

So the big question I have is, what is the best possible enchant I can throw on this sucker? Right now I have 222 hit rating. I thought about throwing Accuracy on it, however its very expensive and I imagine once I square away my last few blues I'll get the needed hit rating to be hit capped.

I was thinking Mongoose, but I'd like some input before I start chucking a few hundred g into an enchantment.

In order of DPS value...

Berserking (can run you over 1,000g)
Massacre
Mongoose
Greater Savagery
Executioner
Accuracy

Mongoose and Massacre are about equal, and Mongoose should be significantly cheaper. Depending on how long you plan on keeping this weapon, I would go with either 85 AP or Mongoose.

Get zerker or massacre. DO IT.

Honestly get zerker. The stick will likely last long enough to make the gold cost worth it honestly.

Yeah, I don't particularly imagine replacing it any time soon. I'm not into ulduar yet and limited pug 25 mans. This thing is freaking sweet...

Is the armor penalty of berserker worth it? Or would the constiency of massacre be better? Where can I find the numbers on it?

Don't use the weapon to tank or swap if need to bear.

Almost all raid damage is magical or otherwise bypasses armor so the armor penalty is trivial.

I think after more reading around I'm going to rest on Massacre. I have enough RNG in two trinkets and a ring and the idol. I'd prefer to have a reliable consistent damage boost. From what I'm finding the DPS difference for kitty isn't a huge difference between the two. So I'm going to go for the more consistent enchant without any dangerous drawbacks.

Latest sims have shown Mongoose to be the enchant of choice for those in BiS gear at the moment. Not sure how that would translate to your level of gear and content, but it certainly is a heck of a lot cheaper.

Oh I have far from BiS. Mostly heroic/t7 (10 man) gear.

I settled with Massacre. I wanted a consistent dps increase rather than more RNG. I already have more than a few items with random procs not to mention in 10 mans I occasionally need to switch into bear on the fly and tank a boss when the tank goes down. I could create a weapon swap macro but chances are I'd forget so I just settled with Massacre. Overall I don't think the difference will be noticable. It *is* a marked increase over my previous weapon and a bit better than my previous enchant so all around my numbers will go up.

If you wonder why you're sub-defaulted, it's most likely for reading fail.

Good luck with that.

Also, way to post on something that doesn't matter after the OP has finished the thread off.
