So I healed my first heorics last night and it was a lot of fun. I've healed BC and lower WoLK dungeons before, so I thought it was more of a challenge. Anyways, I think I'm going to main spec resto for raids and boomkin for questing. With that being said. Anyone have any suggetions for druid healing addons? I felt it was mouse clicking too much for targeting part members. Also is it a pain to gather up 2 sets of gear? Also for the gear question, i think the addon is Outfitter, for the addon so you have to get the extra set of gear in your bags? Thats all for now. Thanks!

I can't play with out Outfitter. I have like 6 or so gear/accessory sets that I actively use. Makes switching easy.

Get Grid+Clique. Takes more to set up but is the best most customizable option out there. I don't heal at the cap so I don't really know hjow Clique works. I do use Grid and keybinds for a priest I have still clicking party members though with Clique I could make easy mouseover macros but haven't yet as I don't feel the need yet in non-heroic 5 man content.

I know Grid is awesome though from experience.

Outfitter simply helps to quickly switch gear sets, in much the same way as the one that Blizz introduced, but Outfitter has more customisable features and frankly, works more smoothly in my opinion.

Clique is a nifty little addon that let's you bind things to your mouse buttons.

It works by having another tab in your spellbook (like the tab for balance spells etc) and when you click it, it opens up. Then you go through your spellbook assigning spells to different button+mouse combinations.

eg. My Wild Growth is set to shift+right click, Nourish is shift+left click etc.

Whenever you are over the players frame (the little picture of them) you can click with whichever button pressed and it will cast the spell that you set. You can also set macro's, though I haven't bothered yet.

It also works with many raid frame addons, which is why people suggest grid as you can click cast spells on the grid frames.

I personally use grid+clique and find it the best combo so far (even better than healbot (/flee))

I'm tired, so if that makes no sense I'll check it in the morning...

who am I kidding? I'll be checking out the new patch in the morning

As far as Grid goes, here are a couple of guides to setting it up nicely. I use a modified version of this setup :-

Getting grid to show HoT timers

Modifying Grids layout

Well for me, I dont tend to use a lot of Addons. For healing I use LifeBloomer

Lifebloomer

This little addon is great for keeping tack of all those HoT's so you know when someone is really in trouble, or if the HoT's are there to back them up. Also highlighets highest threat and shows poison and curses on party targets. Personally, never leave home with out this :D

Oh and outfitter.. Is fantastic :D
Makes gear switching a breeze. It isn't to hard to get two sets of gear. I am dual Resto/feral spec and as I almost never take my kitty down dungeons Resto gear is always my priority. Else I grab something feral.

I am still using Healbot for healing purposes. It works for me just fine and am familiar with it. I have also heard good things about Grid and Clique as well, however I have no first hand experience with those addons.

Thanks for all the help. I ultimately went with the above. Super easy, clear, noncluttering raid frames. Love it.
