Guys, could anyone offer some advice on maximising dps during the General Vesax fight please. (whilst stood in shadow crash buff zones)
It seems to me that this buff isn't very useful to us, or am i missing something?
Do you use different shots or priorities?
My dps is kinda sad on this fight as SV :(

Explosive shot, Black Arrow, Serpent Sting.
Kill Shots when you can, but nothing else.
I found that even using aimed shots hurt my dps more than it helped.

SV generally drops Arcane from the rotation altogether as it's on a shared cooldown with Explosive Shot. I can't speak to this specific fight, though, as my experience is pretty much limited to Naxx.

What type of damage does explosive shot do?

when i was standing in the puddle i noticed significally higher crit dmg like arcane and chimera doing 13-15k crits when normally for me they only would do maybe 7-9k. But that was the first time ever i was doing Vezax and my dps otherwise felt really low.
Well that's kind of the point of the puddles, they increase magical dmg dealt.
Which is why you drop pretty much all not magical damage to conserve mana and use magical dmg dealing abilities for your dps.
Your dps is going to suck if you're using the easymode spread out tactic though.
The Hardmode stick together is higher dps but you'll be running each shadowcrash and it becomes really easy to **** up lifedrain and heal Vezax for millions of hp.
(Good tip if you do the HM tactic: use Power Auras or an other addon to warn you for lifedrain.
If it's on you, disengage away from the pack to minimize ticks.)
