Frostfire Burn (0/3): Fire tree talent
Your Frostfire Bolt consumes the damage over time debuff of your Fireball, amplifying the damage over time ability of Frostfire Bolt to deal X/Y/Z damage over 9 seconds and causing the target to take A/B/C% increased damage from fire spells.

Frostfire Chill (0/3): Frost tree talent
Your Frostfire Bolt consumes the chill effect of your Frostbolt, amplifying the slowing effect of Frostfire Bolt to slow the target's movement speed and attack speed by X/Y/Z%, and causing the target to take A/B/C% increased damage from frost spells.

Transform Weapon Rank 1: Arcane spell
Transforms your target's main hand weapon into a snake, disarming the target and dealing X damage every 2 seconds for 8 seconds. Damage is determined by the weapon's DPS (or item level).

just wanted to get some ideas off my chest

interesting ideas to change up our rotations -- seems like a conflagrate type spell(s). Granted the frost one wouldn't work in a raid environment as they are already immune to the movement/attack speed slow (but who raids as a deep frost spec anyway?). The fire one has some potential, although if you are raiding as fire you will have the fireball glyph and won't be getting a DoT anymore from it.

the arcane one just seems like something that was randomly put together and will add even more bloat to it.

I'm not sure about that; good or bad for dps, throwing a snake at a boss seems pretty kickass. Though why a mage would do it is beyond me 0.o.

Maybe you could throw the snake at a hunters snake!

ok so the talents i thought of because i see some concern about frostfire builds on the forums. i was thinking Frostfire Burn could be somewhere in the middle of the fire tree, while Frostfire Chill could be in the middle of the frost tree. that was a frostfire spec could potentially take both (actually dunno bout that), or could go down one tree and add an interesting spell rotation.

regarding the snake... it could be anything really. mages always complain about survivability in pvp, and usually its against melee attackers. well, since most melee classes are gear and weapon-dependent, taking away their main hand weapon should increase the mage's chances of survival. not only that, the spell will do some amount of damage depending on the power of the weapon. AND, it would have a cool animation. imagine a giant snake wrapped around your opponent, biting his neck every two seconds and hissing... sick

i was inspired for the snake spell from one of the warcraft books actually. the one where ronin and a bunch of ppl pwn deathwing and all. at one point ronin transforms some guy's weapon into a weird branch or animal, i cant remember. but regardless, mages should be able to transform weapons. i mean, they can polymorph people already!
