As a ret pally it is very important for me to know my dps so i can always find ways and gear to increase it, i need to know how to calculate my dps, and what is the dps mentioned on the charecter screen (on the damage bar)
google wow+Rawr and wow+Recount, then never ask this or similar questions again.

It is not necessarily upsetting. It is sad that folks have to come to a forum to ask a question that Google/Yahoo/Bing/Metacrawler/<generic search engine> will answer in 5 seconds.
Most folks in this forum have no problems at all answering questions, giving advice, or pointing you in the right direction. None at all. But our time is valuable to us, just as your time is to you.
Doing a little research first could save everybody a little time. Answering the same questions over and over and over again, gets tiresome.
No offense meant, just explaining the second poster's attitude.
Oh, and the DPS you see on your character sheet is White Damage only (Auto-attack weapon strikes). The Meters will tell you everything, including things like Retribution Auras Splash Damage.

sry, didn't mean to come across so harsh. it's true though, you will ask the same questions, in the same order, and get frustrated that you don't get the responses you were looking for.
get the mods i told you, read the stickies, read the in-game tutorials/tooltips, look over wowwiki.com.
you will be a better player for it. post here when you can't find the answer using those means.
