Mend Pet BugFollow

I brought my cat out of the stable for some solo farming this week and I ran into a strange bug. He seems to have Mend Pet cast on him permanently. He has the heal icon on him but the timer doesn't go down and it just ticks away forever. I tried re-stabling him and casting a fresh mend pet on him and it's persisted through at least two log in sessions.

I'm just curious if anyone else has seen this?

Also while I'm thinking about it I wonder if I can click it off like a buff. Can you do that with HoTs? I've never seen a need to try it before.

QUICK go solo something really really hard!

Really though, I've never heard of this before. Sounds interesting, I suggest giving a GM a ring and see if they can fix it.

I suggest not doing that, and having permanent Mend Pet instead.

Umm... you do know that knowingly using a glitch like that is a bannable offense, right? Case in point: the recent incident where a player somehow received a GM item that allowed him to insta-kill anything. Instead of reporting it, he and his guild used it to one-shot heroic Ulduar. His account was banned, and everyone in his guild online at the time was (reportedly) temp banned.

That's a pretty giant jump.

There's an issue with hunter aspects where some hunters have 2 up after a patch.
Everyone who reported that gets to hear something along the lines of "it'll go away" from GM's.

I'd rank it more along the lines of that.

I'm sure you're right. I'd just hate for someone to get in trouble over something like this.

You wouldn't get banned for this.

A Dragonblight quest glitched on me, and it let me fly the quest dragon wherever I wanted, so I ended up taking it to Wintergrasp, and using one of it's spells to instakill everyone.

I didn't get banned for that, I just got "We fixed the problem so that you'll be unable to encounter it again."

Their is a big difference in using a bugged pet with a HoT ticking and one-shotting bosses at the hardest setting using a Dev item. One is a bannable offense. The other would get you a suspension at most.

Well it just seemed to me the OP wanted to get rid of this buff to play the game properly. My bad.

That must've been an epic WTF for everyone there who got 1 shotted.

I think I saw a bug report post by a warlock having a similar issue with the health funnel buff. Probably not really a big issue. /shrug

This is the case, I never had any intent of using it to my advantage. But now that it has been mentioned I'm totally going to try to solo Ulduar. I don't think that the glitch will help me in any way, but our imminent deaths may cause the problem to reset.

I have two ideas to try out now. If neither of them work I'll suck it up and put in a GM ticket. Thanks for the advice.

You could just enter an arena it should get rid of all the buffs on you and your pet and then just /afk out.

It was funnier to hear the people asking me how I got the "LEET RED DRAGUN".

At least I was nice and directed them to this..
