When a bloodelf Pally tells me how to play my class...Follow

I wanna scream like Leonidas.

Quote: Swipe is your main ability.
Tru-ish but it doesnt help if you wont let me build aggro thus rage to use swipe. Plus Id prefer to use maul since it hits two targets+ glyph and I keep aggro then.

It seems to me that people dont realize that Bears, unlike Warriors have a very slow atk speed, thus rage build up from 0 is a about 5 seconds. Yes Enrage helps but when these people want to blow through an instance as quickly as possible. Its pretty much hopeless.

First time running AN which i told everyone beforehand such.(Which I first thought stood for Ahn-kharet) Holy Pally was main healer (Which is a 50% chance of suck)

She did well, but my God she thought she knew everything.

If she wasnt funny id prolly be pissed.

/rant off.

Also Subtlety Rogue+ Mangle + the fact my Maul crits higher with each bleed= Death

Anyway Point: Dont you hate it when someone tells you how to play your class, just because one add got past you?

Chain pull more. It helps with rage issues.

I hate going slow as my rage dies between pulls.

Plus you can give the pally crap for being OoM if she ********

FFF is also great for runners and will usually win over healer aggro.

Chain pulling usually keeps the healers busy enough that they can't ***** about other things.

Otherwise, kick the paladin in the face, that usually helps too.

I tanked Oxynia today (ooo big deal i know) kept aggro on her even when in midflight when 5-8 lv 80s were full out dpsing her. Then I tanked most of AQ20
Mind you im 75
So it isnt me :P

Oh yeah i was chain pulling but it seems that people enjoy bursting dpsing my chain pulls thus removing the additional threat.

FFF? Yeah I notice that seems to generate alot of aggro. Ill keep that in mnd

I remember a time long ago when Maz used to rape BGs with a druid and tell us stories of his adventures.

When you're down to one mob from the last pull, or have a big threat lead on all remaining mobs, stop using specials. Then you have rage for the next pull.

Yes, I'm a blood elf pally. My druid is only up to tanking ST right now.

FTFY

What does FTFY mean? Ive only seen that a few times.

I like to give the healer some breathing room inbetween pulls. Mind you Im with PUGs so I have to watch everyones hp bar as well as my own and the healers mana bar. While trying to make sure I dont lose aggro because people like to unload dps. ( Being a Druid, and a paranoid tank)

(In response to the Blood Elf Paladin, im prejudiced against most. Its not my fault, my server is full of them! Ive seen guys full out dps with RF on! Ive seen Main healers not use Beacon when they are Holy Specced!). Now have I met great Blood Elf Paladins? yes. Currently only one comes to mind. The good ones kill me and the bad ones get me killed.

Fixed That For You

I also watch mana bars. All good tanks do.

I also know when a healer is being whiny about mana and when they actually need it, same goes for mana using DPS.

Mage friend loves me. ;)

I feed on his tears.

You've been around that long? It was, like, way back in February or so. No, seriously, I haven't played my Druid much since Wrath was released. Death Knights could do everything I wanted from my Druid feral-wise, only they could do it better. I'm back on my Druid for the pewpew and healz now, but Feral is pretty much dead to me.

Feral deeps is hawt right now. The rotation is so complex it makes your brain want to Hemorrhage sometimes, but fun nonetheless.

If you enrage (to 10 rage) -> charge -> FFF (mid charge) -> swipe, you can usually start with enough rage to keep mashing swipe and maul on an aoe pull. Also atleast marking the initial mob to dps might save some headaches. And like Ehcks said, when you have enough threat on a mob to kill it before you lose threat, stop using specials and build rage for your next pull.

IDk how you tank, but i usually have no more than a couple seconds downtime between pulls unless i notice the healer low on mana with no other druid to innervate, the moment a mob hits around 50% health as long as i have enough threat on him i just auto attack to build rage then when im full i charge to the next pull, weather the last mob is dead or not.

And always keep in mind, threat is a dps's fault as well, they have spells to remove threat for a reason, most people are just either too stupid or too lazy to utilize them so they blame the tank, WotLK has coddled dps into the idea that threat is always the tanks fault, unlike TBC when AoE'ing on a big pull was a big nono, and was entirely blamed on the dps'er doing it when they pulled threat and died.

I've tanked several instances with my Druid (as early as yesterday) and I had almost full rage the entire time. Group pull? Gather, Swipe, Demoralizing Roar, Swipe and I'm full. Swipe crits give me extra rage through Primal Fury and when you have a crit chance of 35%, you're bound to get a couple on a massive pull. Coupled with Lacerate crits (awesomesauce), Feral Faerie Fire crits and Maul crits (glyph rocks, doesn't it?), I have more rage than I can dump. Than I need to dump. Sure, spamming Swipe on single pulls is a great way to waste a load of rage, but why? When I'm 30,000 threat ahead of the next guy, why would I need to blow all my rage on getting even further ahead? Instead I save it for those unexpected situations where you might need to pop Frenzied Regeneration or pull some adds.

As for responsibilities, they've changed a lot since Vanilla. Back then, before Omen and Recount, if a DPS died, it was the DPS' own fault. If the tank died, it was the healer's fault and if the healer died, it was the tank's fault. Then came TBC and if the DPS died, it was because the DPS didn't have Omen, but did have Recount (e-peen flexing ensued). If the tank died, the tank wasn't geared for the instance and if the healer died.. well, nothing changed there. I've run a couple of instances throughout Northrend, from Nexus to Violet Hold to Gundrak and from what I've gathered, it now seems that if the DPS dies, the healer was a) a noob or b) not geared for the instance. If the tank died, the tank wasn't geared for the instance and the healer was a) a noob or b) not geared for the instance. If the healer died, the healer should've used Shadowmeld, Fade or Bubble. Learn to Omen.

Meh. Healers are wanted, but no longer valued. I'm wondering if the tendency with change yet again.

I hear that. I enjoy dpsing but I'd really like to tank again. Don't think I've got enough gear yet though, most of what I get has been funneling dps first since that's what I've been doing (and we already have 4 tanks who've been with the guild since BC so they communicate way better). If we could ever get 25man level turnout on 10man days and do two runs maybe I'll get a shot :(
