I have had a group in 10man OS put a druid as a OT and me as a MT(pally)me and him were raving saying pallys are better for adds than a druid.
Would YOU agree?

Every single tank class has some form of aoe tanking. Druids have swipe, Death Knights have death and decay, Warriors have Thunderstomp, Paladins have Consecration.
Whether one is better than the other I would say that yes, Paladins are better at aoe tanking than a druid.

Pallies are threat monkies. They rape adds also.
Druid and pally tanks, I would say it depends on the fight as to who does what. Assuming relatively equal gear of course.
When I do Naxx with a pally tank, I just lazily hit swipe every now and again so I look like I am doing something. No point in trying to out aggro them.
For OS; Druid on Sarth, Pally on adds though. Pallies are squishier against big hits but will barely get scratched by the little adds.

I disagree we are squisheier on big hits...you got to remember our block is crazy high...and if the pally tank is a protard then the pally can do good against both.

BTW,a guildie is saying Str is a druid tanks most important stat,is it not Agilty?

Agility and stamina. Gear for stam, enchant and gem for agi, generally.
Agility= armor+Dodge+Atk pwr+Crit Rating+ Healing if you have Nurturing Instinct

Warriors can stay mobile with Thunderclap and have shockwave for AoE threat too (but directional).

personaly i like being an add tank on my druid more than my pally for that fight alot of moveing to pick up adds some times. chain swipe/maul to pick up and add = easy mode. also depends on how fast your dps aoes them down if you get alot can be a pain but if you can sit there and just taunt one or two to ya and they go down then pally.

Got a little bored so I thought I'd venture off my usual Paly/Shaman boards a bit. Came across this thread and it got me thinking: whenever I've done OS (I'm a Paladin tank btw) I've always been on adds and for the most part I never have to have any DPS help me down the adds, unless a bunch get hit by a flame wall. Is this the same for a Druid tanking adds? Are you able to put out enough AOE damage to take them down on your own, or do Druids have to get more help from the DPS to get the adds down?
