Hello, I was wondering what do these level 80 guilds mean when they say they want you Geared to join, and my 2nd question:

Will the Pvp honor gear Hateful Gladiator set be enuf or too much to gain entry into a 80 raiding guild?

My 70 Mage which I am twinking AV now to finish my 70 epic gear, gets honor fast. Will twinking 70 now til i have full 80 pvp gear be a good idea?

Depends on the guild but I would say no.
You will want to run Heroics until you are down to ZERO GREENS and 3-4 blues.
Mediocre OR generous guilds will then invite.

If you want into a decent one:
PuG raids until ALL purple(and I mean good purples)
Then a decent one will take you.

Getting into a GREAT ONE?
Know people and Pug a lot of Naxx25/Uld10/Uld25

Honestly? It depends on the raiding guild and where they're raiding. Is Hateful good enough for Naxx? Yeah, but you'd take less time to get geared for Naxx if you instead focused on crafted and quest gear at 80 with a bit of 5 man instancing thrown in as well(for rep, donchaknow?). On the other hand, Hateful lacks both hit and haste, which, while not necessarily the best stats, are certainly much better uses of itemization than resilience.

And if Arcane is the way you want to go, let's not even get started on the fact that it only has 201 intellect for the whole set.

If Raiding is what you want, here's what I'd instead recommend for those 5 slots. Wouldn't take all that much time to get, either.

Head: Hat of Wintry Doom
Crafted, 250g avg buy price
Stats:
+69 Stamina
+46 Intellect
53 Spellpower
44 hit rating
Red Socket
Meta Socket

Note: For shoulders, the Hateful ones are actually a decent choice to consider. In keeping with the crafted or BoE scheme, though...
Shoulders: Dark Runic Mantle
BoE drop, 50g avg buy price if you ask Wowhead, 150g if you ask Allakhazam.com.
+42 Stamina
+44 Intellect
59 Spellpower
50 Haste
Red Socket

Chest: Spellweave Robe
Crafted, a bit less than 1000g to buy avg price.
Stats:
+64 Intellect
+52 Spirit(~26 crit rating if using glyphed Molten Armor)
104 Spellpower
90 Haste

Hands: Spellweave Gloves
Crafted, a bit less than 350g avg buy price
Stats:
+48 Intellect
+39 Spirit(~20 crit rating if using glyphed MA)
77 Spellpower
65 Haste

Legs: Black Duskweave Leggings
Crafted. 80g avg Wowhead suggested price
Stats:
+60 Stamina
+50 Intellect
81 Spellpower
69 Haste

Breakdown
Poldaran's Suggested Set stats:
Stam: 171
Int: 252
Spirit: 91(meaning ~46 crit rating with glyphed MA)
Spellpower: 374
Hit: 44
Haste: 274
Crit(not including spirit crit): 0

Hateful Gladiator's Set Stats:
Stam: 458
Int: 201
Spirit: 0
Spellpower: 397
Hit: 0
Haste: 0
Crit(not including spirit crit): 195

Analysis: The Hateful stuff has a few sockets over the crafted stuff, which brings them up even on damage stats. However, it's a bit of a one trick pony, leaving you with crit as your only secondary damage stat. However, with a price tag of 1730g, you'd be able to farm the gold for the stuff I've suggested by doing dailies rather quickly. I'm assuming the PvP wouldn't take all that much longer, but while farming the gold, you'd be working on your reputations at the same time(if farmed via dailies), which would yield some more amazing side benefits(helm enchant and shoulder enchants being some obvious ones to point out). These benefits get even more awesome if you're doing the tournament dailies, as it would put you within spitting distance of a really nice weapon to go with all this stuff.

If you're going to get the black duskweave legs, it wouldn't hurt to get a hold of the bracers either, as the 2 piece set bonus is extra spell power. Also, if you want to know when you're raid ready gear wise, I'd check out http://www.wow-heroes.com and plug your character name and server in there. It gives you a gear score and based on that score, tells you if you still need to do heroics, or what raids you're ready for.
