how did i only do 1.9k hps on LoathebFollow

5K HPS on Loatheb? Pics or it didn't happen. If you time everything well you can get a PoH, 2 CoH's and perhaps a Flash Heal off. That all together in Ulduar gear and holy spec doesn't amount to 5K hps.

No, PoM is going to get at utmost 2 bounces which is at most 5K healing assuming both bounces crit. Starting up a PoH at 2 sec, then CoH, then Flash and another CoH is really the most healing you can cram into that interval as holy if you don't have any haste. If you do, you can replace that Flah Heal with another CoH, but that's pretty much it. At most you're going to get about 6300 HPS in those ~6 seconds, assuming you get a bunch of crits, all your AOE heals actually heal every target and you've got enough haste to cram in a second PoH. Seeing as 6300 HPS over 6 seconds is going to be followed up by ~20 seconds of 0 HPS, there is no way on neither 10 or 25-man that you're going to get a consistent 5000 DPS in that fight.

Edit: The only possible exception is if he's a disc priest and counts damage absorbed by PW:S as healing done. Disc priests shield the entire raid the entire fight long and can get obscene amounts of 'H'PS doing this.

My strategy on this is to start before the aura vanishes. Throw up renews on as many as possible who has lost health ~10seconds before the aura fades. Start casting PoH 2-3 seconds before the aura drops so that it hits just as the aura goes away. Then PoM, Flash Heal(if you have one instant), CoH and lastly a Flash Heal if it's instant. By then, the aura is usually back in effect.
All in all, it heals quite a bit, but nowhere near that 5k hps mark.

If no one died (especially if there weren't a lot of "near misses" on deaths), and assuming you weren't crushed on meters by other healers on that fight, there's no reason to try to generate more throughput. The DK is an idiot, flat out. Not only is he exaggerating his numbers, but he's trying to make you feel "bad" about your healing on a fight where no one died and you won.

Next time just tell him: "I have a rogue who can do 12k DPS on Loatheb". If he calls you on it, just say you figured it was OK to inflate numbers because he obviously is. :)
