Hey guys long time reader first time poster, ok so i need a help about my dps i recently switch my spec to blood and was amazed by the dmg increase but im really not sure if im ready for heroics and naxx so far my dps is usually around 1550-1650 ad i have only turn 80 at the start of this week, i ran VH hc last with a pug and it all went well only one wipe and i was second on the dps meter with a T8 shadow pirst topping it, some of my guildies have said that i am ready for heroics and naxx but i just really want a second opinion

You would probably do Ok. But you could do better:

Get hit capped. You'll want to be at or very near 8% hit (263 rating) for any and all end-game raiding. Missing not only loses the damage from the strike, it forces your cycles (aka "rotations") out of the whack by having to repeat a step.

Get more expertise. Removing dodge from the hit table is also a vital priority for melee DPS for the same reasons as Hit.

Move 1 point from Epidemic to Dancing Rune Weapon, and use it a lot. 1 point is enough to get your diseases to last through a complete cycle in Blood Presence as long as you're not missing or taking too long between rune refreshes.

Gem for Strength. Yes always. You'll want to get 2 purple str/stam gems to activate your meta (which should be swapped out for 21 crit +3% crit damage) but otherwise it is nearly always best to gem pure strength gems regardless of socket bonuses. There are instances where you would swap out different gems but they are rare and specific.

Use the proper Sigil for the spec. First priority for Emblems of Valor should be the Sigil of Awareness. Otherwise get the Death Coil one from Venture Coins.

Rune of the Fallen Crusader. Use it, love it, call it's mom on Mother's Day. There are only a few special circumstances where other runes are preferred but standard Blood isn't one of them.

Otherwise, keep looking to upgrade as you can and have fun.

Cheers.

I will add in;

Get professions.

Blacksmithing is nice, two extra sockets goes a long way. Some of the crafted gear is better than what you are wearing.
Mining is nice, $$ and fuel for Blacksmithing, Jewelcrafting.
Jewelcraft is nice, the best min/max profession in the game.

If you really wanna get serious (not that I recommend this, or that it is easy) Blacksmithing/Jewelcrafting is the most potent combo right now, when mages are taking this combo over tailoring (which they are) it says something about the combo.

You get 3 non-color gem holes to fill with 3 epic gems. You can min/max socket bonuses with blue sockets and still have a lot of extra str gems.

Secondly, enchant your gear. You don't need top notch enchants, but anything that helps is better than nothing;

Haste or Agility to cloak
+10 or +8 all stats to chest
+ap to bracers
+expertise or hit to gloves (until you get hit/expertise capped)
+crit/hit (icewalker) to boots

Get exalted with sons of hodir rep, get your shoulder enchant
Get revered with knights of the ebon blade, get your head enchant
