Hey guys,

Been a rogue for a long long time, but then gave it up as I wanted to try other things. BC came and went and I was running around as everything under the sun, then Lich King arrived and I did the DK thing, raised this and that to 80, but then realized I missed my rogue. I tried to start raising it to 80 but had run into the hiccup where I was getting the unholy hell beaten out of me and had to do a LOT of downtime. I guess I have been sort of spoiled by stuff like the DK and Enh Shammie, but it seems that I am missing a component to get it to work as a rogue. Granted I am horribly out of practice, but it seems that the downtime per battle at 70 is making it hard to raise compared to stuff like the DK, Shammie, or Warlock that can keep killing till the cows come home and not need to actually sit down. Was wondering if people could steer me in the right direction so I can enjoy my Rogue again. lol. Hope that you guys can help with your experiences.

Short answer: You're playing your rogue like a Death Knight. Don't.

Long(er) answer: Rogues aren't made to go toe-to-toe with stuff. Attack from stealth, kill from stealth - that's what you'll want to be doing while questing. Spec mutilate and let the fun begin. Use as much stuns as possible; there should not be any downtime because you should not be getting damaged. Open up with CS, mutilate, evis, mutilate, kidney shot. Don't be afraid to use a Blind and/or bandage if things get dicy, and learn to love Gouge.

Hope that helps.

Should help a bit. I have been too used to going toe to toe with like 5 guys at once so I will try what you are mentioning. Thanks mate. ;)

Cheers

Yea....not with rogues. Vanish, gouge, and blind are your new best friends.

Evasion, Suprise Attacks and Blade Flurry are better friends ;)

Be warned though, if you do plan on raiding with your rogue sign up early or all physical dps slots WILL be filled.
