what is the best pet for me to get at my level for solo questing? i was thinking a wolf but not sure. what do u guys think?

that really wasnt the answer i was looking for but ty i saw that link. i was meaning more to peoples personal opinion. sorry for not making that clear

While bears might overtake gorilla's these days, if you have read this you wouldn't be making a new thread. The information in the stickies is made out of loads of people their opinions (<- there's a spelling mistake hiding there =/, can't find it). So the most correct info you're going to find is in there.

peoples' personal opinions will be just that. I happen to like cats because I think they look nice. I'm a dog person in RL, but quite honestly, very few (actually, only one) of the dog skins in the game appeals to me in any way (it's a level 70's pet anyway, meaning it's no good for any of my low-level toons).
I love the look of Wind Serpents, so I've used those a few times. Except the REALLY cool ones also tend to be higher level pets.
Speaking purely for myself, I happen to dislike a pet that takes up a lot of room on screen. I like to have a tiny bundle of killing fury rather than this humongous hulking scary thing that ALSO happens to get in my way when I try to click on a corpse to loot it. But that's my preference. Since I don't do arenas, or PvP, or instances either (or very few), then I have no advantage to having a large pet that gets in the way.

No one flipped out, it's okay, we're all here to help you. Thor posted the exact quote from the Sticky that I wanted you to look at. If you really had read that, I think that your question should have been answered.

And okay, if you want a full answer from me, here it goes.
Imo go for what you like the most. I rolled my troll hunter pure for fun, and I wanted to get myself one of those beautiful red raptors from the isles there. I had it all the way till lvl 60, and then it was time to get a pink/white devilsaur. Just because it looked awesome.
Now, things were going slow in outland, I pulled aggro all the time! (Damn cower bug, I didn't know it back then). So I got a gorilla (pre-nerf) and it went awesome. I was able to pull packs of 10 (no kidding) and AoE em down. Gorilla ftw.
But then blizz decided to nerf them, and give thunderstomp to all pets. I wanted to keep AoE lvling as before, so I got me a swiping bear. And I continued doing that.
So short version: Take what you like the most. BUT if you want the easiest pet, grab a bear imo.
See? I can be nice too!

Aethien the Crab is teh best PvP pet, so I guess Xsarus teh Bear can be the best leveling pet.

I think everyone should reply something totally different without any other comments on it. Making the poster even more confused!
I vote for a Tame a Druid! campaign.
I leveled with a druid friend, it was pretty awesome because it looked like I was running around with two cats. He was on a 2 month hiatus when bears got buffed so I tamed one and named it after him.
I vote we return to:

Nope, but before the 3.2 patch, gorilla's were the only pet family that had a decent AoE (thunderstomp). So they were madmen when it came to tanking. Now with the patch, thunderstomp got a lot weaker and available to all tenacity pets. That's why most people used a gorilla back then. It's not that good anymore now, bears are better due to swipe + thunderstomp.
whatever you use, don't use my pet....all he does is sit around and lick himself all day (which, of course, I probably would as well if I had the ability)
My Hydra is still better. <.<

Not nice, after spending the time getting finding the gem, a shaman friend, someone to MC the mob, and then aspect switching for an hour trying to get the gem to proc, he'd probably cry when he found out that it was untameable.
Oh but there is a new spirit wolf and he looks much much better, Behold i give you Skoll.
