Alright, i've been playing wow for a while and was thinking about making a mage, was wondering if anyone new the best and fastest leveling spec for a mage.
Each are interesting and different in their own way. I prefer frost, but others love fire, some even enjoy arcane. Try them out and see what works best for you.
I'd say the FASTEST is definitely Frost. You quest each area fully, aiming to make each next area Green and Yellow at best quests. This way, when mobs are green, you can round up ~10 mobs with Ice Barrier up, Frost Nova, Blink, Blizzard 1-2 times. You will get crazy exp from kills and any quest requiring dead mobs is a joke. You can also solo every group quest up till Northrend.
Generally speaking, if you want survivability then frost is your best bet. If you don't care about that and just want to blow **** up, fire is your best bet. :-) Most people agree that arcane isn't really viable until 64 or 66 when you get Arcane Blast. Really it's all up to what you prefer though.
