Hit Rating in PVPFollow

#1 Jun 18 2009 at 8:24 AM Rating: Decent
Does it matter? In normal PVE, I miss less than 2%. In a battleground it jumps to over 10%. My Hit Rating is 180. Would a higher one help in PVP? If yes, how much higher to make a difference? Also my parry, dodge, absorb stats go up just as much. Does it make sense to bulk up on expertise and hit, even tho that is usually at the loss of another rating?

Thanks for all of your help.

I think, not 100%, but like 98% sure that its only 5% in pvp, which would mean your over the specials cap.

Your miss rate should go down in PvP, not up. And to 10%? You shoudn't have more than 8% miss in PvP unless you DW or unless it's caused by enemy spells and effects.

Maybe you use a 2h for PvE and DW for PvP?

No dual wield, I use the 2h titansteel destroyer everywhere. I figured it was spells and effects, but I'm suprised by how high the miss, absorb, parry, etc rate is.

It will against classes which can increase their chance to be missed with attacks. Off the top of my head, these would be Frost Mages, and frost death knights. Night elves also are harder to hit, from a racial ability.
