I'm in sholazar, and I figure it's time to pick a faction. What are your opinions about the factions gear for an 80 priest that is dual specced for disc heals/shadow damage? Here is my profile http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?2433910

Doesn't matter. Oracles have a nice healing belt and a wand, the Frenzyheart tribe has healing gloves shadow pants. In the end it really matters jack all because you can't wear any of these items before 78 and it's niche stuff that will likely be upgraded before dinging 80, but if you really want an answer I'd go Frenzyheart if I were shadow and Oracles if I were disc/holy.

You probably won't be wearing their faction gear for long, so I would go for the Reins of the Green Proto-Drake from the Oracles. Just keep buying your Mysterious Egg each week and you will eventually get it.

I was going to go for the Oracles myself, couldn't find the start of the quest chain, got frustrated and left Sholazar for Stormpeaks.

Never looked back - I daresay I will eventually.

Good luck with it though!

It starts by killing Pitch in this Quest Chain.

I went for the Oracles. They reminded me of the movie gremlins (which I love) and at that point in time everyone was wondering if we might get a baby oracle out of the egg :)

The gear wont matter for you save your gold for coldweather flying :) it will come in much more handy.

The quest chain is not your average quest chain, it makes you go back and forth between the two factions by doing quests for each of them. It ends in a cave where you have to fight an elite, one oracle, and one frenzyheart. Kill either the oracle or the frenzyheart, once one has died the other will fight the boss by your side and you have picked your faction. Anytime you want to switch you just go back and fight the elite again (or so I have heard, still waiting for my mount to hatch)...

Thanks Dada, but IIRC I've completed The Part Time Hunter...I will go back and double check, but that's where I thought I was going wrong, thought there may have been another part to it that I was unaware of.

And aye, I did try Google, before anyone suggests that. :D

Anyways, we'll see...I'm still mucking about with UI's...
