just met this epic dude in Naxx10 guildrun as a replacement of a guildy:

ZOMG imba. The worst thing is i commented on his dps and he logged of.

I'll send him an ingame mail with the cookiecutter combat build and at least the advice to switch his weapons from fast/slow to slow/fast (blue 1.7 knife MH and crimson cranium crusher in OH) and upgrade his crafted lev 78 pvp'ish stuff to something better.

He did 588 dps on Patch, wonder what his dps will be if he only switches weapons.

That's the worst talent build i have ever seen. How do you manage to pick up every single weapon spec and deadened nerves, but avoid precision?

we had a new hunter in guild a while back, had full 25 naxx gear (ulduar wasnt out at the time), i had'nt grouped with him and he wanted to do heroics so i figured id tank for him

we go to h hol, through most of the trash he was lucky to pass 1k dps, and on bosses he was lucky to hit 1.5k, when asked what he was doing, he responded "if i do too much i'll pull threat", next pull i watch omen to see if by some freak of nature chance he's doing insane threat with ****** dps, he didnt even hit 5% of the my threat...

another good one, we had a rogue in guild who was a friend of one of our officers irl, he wasnt geared for it but we needed more dps to fill the group for naxx so we took him, he ended up finishing the night with 3-4 new leather upgrades, avool's sword of jin, and a dagger, he was doing very low dps, in the 500 range, but that was to be expected because we knew he didnt really have any gear

brought him along for heroics a couple nights after, after all the upgrades he got, no change in dps, kept running to help him get some badge gear to see if maybe he just needs more gear, got 2-3 more badge pieces, including the melee trinket...slight change in dps, was hitting 1k periodically, finally just stopped trying to help him because he wasnt taking advice

had a dk in guild (another friend of the same officer), needed dps for some quick heroics so we brought him, half epic gear, titansteel destroyer, couple raid pieces, he struggled to hold 1.5k dps through vh, took him a couple more places and he was struggling to even hit 1.5k during those, with battle shout, again, wasnt taking advice from our main dk player in guild so we stopped trying to help

had a druid friend that also had a dk, he always wanted to come tank raids on his dk...his threat was terrible, even hitting 2.5k dps with him tanking was a problem (dual wield tanking after the nerf and refused to not dual wield when presented proof that 2hander produced more threat), he got his druid into one of the bigger raid guilds on the server (have no idea how), and refused to listen to anyones advice when it came to his druid or dk, we run with him for a couple months, eventually getting to the point that we would avoid him because he came off very douchy in raids (says he didnt mean to but he always did and never tried not to), and we got tired of all the whipes he brought because of his refusal to listen to advice

he asked to bring his druid to a 25 naxx of ours and we figured yeah w/e, he wanted to tank, half ulduar 10/25 gear and naxx 25, again, new toon, but his threat was horrificly bad yet again, tried providing some advice which he refused to listen to, he eventually pulled his dk from the guild after months of us avoiding him and hasnt said a word to us...another example of how beeing in a large raiding guild makes people think their better than others

Pugged into a 25 naxx, full 25 ulduar bear tank, and i was using my fresh just hit 80 1 week ago druid to OT, only had heroic gear, the MT couldnt do half my threat output and called me a noob because i "didnt know how to tank"...lol

Took my disc priest to 25 Ulduar a week or so ago, outhealed 2 holy priests in ulduar gear (i had naxx 10/25) while not breaking from my disc ways (aka not spamming heals to top people off and shielding everyone who needed it), if anyone has a disc priest they'll see the fail in that

wont bother adding names as to not embarass people

i'll also throw in my frequent failure to remember Righteous Fury, failure to remember to re equip things after Flame Leviathan so i run in to tank the next thing with a mix of spellpower and dps gear on XD

H-ToC 5 man pug last night. On my lock (3500 gear score). 2 DK's, mage, and priest healer in 4pc T8.5.

Figured I'd be low man on the dps charts, might get ribbed a little for my ghetto epics.

Nope.

Top dps (for the time we were alive) at around 2.2k, mage (3800 gear score) rocks a solid 1.8k. DK's were both BELOW that. I didn't look at the healing, mainly because I pulled aggro after the tank died on Colossus within 30 seconds of the fight starting.

This is after I ran it on my rogue w/ 3 other guildies and a pugged shaman healer. He let the tank die every time, and only got a whopping total of 1400 (total) heals on the DK and 0 on me, through 3 attempts . We kicked him after he said the tank was getting hit too hard and even though he normally has no issues w/ healing h-toc, it's a hard fight to heal as a shaman. Brought in our raid shaman and had 0 issues, per norm.

/fail on both accounts.

I feel sad when I see people like that. Someone needs to tell them that they don't have to put all their talents in one tree, that they'll do a lot better if they pick a cookie-cutter talent spec. In fact, point them over here, try to get them some help.
