I was wondering what the benefit would be for a mage to dual spec. I mostly just quest and do instances, not big into raids and i'm in PvE also. Right now I am fire specc'd and was just wondering if a dual spec would help me any. Here is my armory - http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Terokkar&cn=Doraleon

If you are not into PvP or raiding or anything that really asks you to respec from what you do then I see no reason for you to spend the 1000g on it. I like it for the ease of switching (for me) between Arcane PvE and Fire PvE in the middle of raids and how it keeps my Glyphs etc and changes my bars for me. But if you don't do that much (if at all) then I see no real reason to do so.
