It does, check your recount. You are probably not positioned in the right spot, his hitbox is really buggy. There are spots that should be in melee range which aren't, until he swings back to pick up 3 of your healers. For most of that fight, I am scrambling around looking for the spot where my auto-attacks, and not just my specials, will land. Most of the time its in front of and to the right (while facing him) of his hand, by the thumb I guess. I end up facing his armpit (not really to his hand), which is nice b/c you don't have to move to hit his chest, and it keeps you out of the adds if you tank them on the left side of the room.

Worked for me.

Maybe you put instant poison on both weapons for that fight? =P

I stood in the correct place and it did not work.

I stood in the middle, facing his chest and was landing DP on his right arm. It's such a buggy hitbox. What I was saying in my other post Moo is that maybe there is an internal difference in range between specials and auto-attacks, as I was having the same problem. Mutilate would land, and I was relegated to using Evis (eww) to spend the combo points b/c there was no DP on him. But I noticed that Mutilate and Evis animations where working, but my toon would be silent in between, zero auto-attack animations.
