A PETty ProblemFollow

I have a little problem with my cat. It's nothing big, it just gets annoying.

See, my cat tends to enable skills (like cower and prowl) when I don't want her to. Those skills are only useful in certain circumstances, i. e. generally not while questing.

Is there a way (like, an addon or something) to keep my cat (and other pets who shouldn't cower for example) from enabling the skills at random?

Thanks in advance, and as always: If my question was answered somewhere where I should have found it, feel free to poke me with the dumb stick.

/poke with a dumb stick

Its a bug that Blizz knows about but refuses to fix because they hate cats.

This is the main thread about it, it is several pages back since its so freaking old, yet blizz still hates cats.

Cower bug...

I feel your pain. It's been like this for awhile, and it sucks but I just check every time I start playing that all the settings are correct. Growl on..check, Cower off..double check. You get use to it.

Get all skills you do NOT want on autocast on your petbar.
So cower, growl, Call of the Wild/roar of sacrifice and prowl/pin.
Those 4 turned off, everything in the spellbook turned on.
Should work, at least it does for me with my wolf, crab and wasp. Smiley: smile

thanks for pointing me in that direction. Seems like Blizz has bigger fishes to nerf fry.

Anyways, I found a macro solution around it:

Just put

/petautocastoff Prowl
/petautocastoff Cower

at the start of one (or a few) macro/s you usually use at the beginning of the fight.

If I wasn't so lazy right now, I'd check if there was something like "petcancelaura" or something to get it out of stealth if it already is stealthed. Will test tomorrow. *shrugs*

yeah, you can make a macro to set all the skills to on or off, and just hit it when you start something important. It's pretty nice.

All the cool people posted in here, so, uhm...

You should use Prowl more often, it can come in handy sometimes. Such as when your pet needs to be stealthed and stuff...

Yeah...
