4 Piece T8 Elemental Bonus Broken?Follow

I finally picked up my fourth piece of Elemental T8 gear tonight after my guild downed Mimiron (woot!). Excited to see what sort of DPS I could do in it, I put on my new gears and trucked over to Ironforge to do some experimenting on the Heroic Training Dummy. To my surprise, my DPS was pretty much exactly the same as it was before I had equipped the T8 and received the set bonus. Curious, I pulled up my Recount information and was a little bit astonished at what I saw. The T8 DoT did all of 29 damage the entire time I was attacking the dummy. Let me go into this further:

The tooltip from shaman T8 -- "Your critical strikes from Lightning Bolt cause the target to take nature damage equal to 8% of the Lightning Bolt's damage over 4 seconds." The DoT ticks once every 2 seconds, meaning that for each Lightning Bolt crit you should have 2 ticks of the DoT.

I'll use one of my specific Lightning Bolt casts as an example. My max crit for the experimental session was 10,320 damage. 8% of this would yield how much damage the DoT is supposed to do.

0.08 x 10,320 = 826 (rounded up)

Take 826 and divide it by two, and you'll have how much each tick of the DoT is supposed to do

826 / 2 = 413 damage per tick

If my extremely simple math is correct, the DoT from the T8 4 piece bonus should have ticked for 413 twice for a total of 826 damage. INSTEAD, what I got was two ticks of 1 damage each -- for a grand total of 2 damage. 2 DAMAGE! There's quite a large difference from 826 and 2.

I don't know if I'm missing something or if this is indeed a bug, but either way we're getting gimped out of quite a bit of DPS. Anyone else have a similar situation or am I just extremely unlucky?

EDIT: Boy, do I feel like an idiot. Disregard pretty much this entire post. Apparently, due to some sort of mysterious mechanic, the 4 piece T8 bonus DOES NOT work on Training Dummies. The 4 piece T8 bonus works as intended on other mobs, however. Good to know.
