the lion in Kara

I forget this, refresh me please.

I meant tree and boom as the 2 leggers.

This Kara lion intrigues me though.

Damn senility.

Roar, in the Opera event (Wizard of Oz).

There are also the two humanoid kitties in Zul'Gurub--Arlokk and Thekal iirc.

The only lion I can think of in Kara is Roar from the Wizard of Oz event.

That what you meant rusttle?

*Edit: Bah, beaten to the post.

I meant to add that I quite like the new forms, although I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Alliance kitty model most. I already have 2 tanks, don't really want to have another :p

Slightly random aside, but I must be messed up in the head cause I hear this a lot and sometimes can't help but think people is crazy for it - tanking is my #1 favorite thing to do and I intend to level a Warrior, Paladin, and DK with tank specs Smiley: laugh

Not a slight against you or anything metal, just something I noticed Smiley: smile

Edit: Also, Halazzi from ZA could be considered a bipedal cat of sorts.

Hmm, I forgot about Halazzi...hehe, I'd always emote at him just to bug my hubby.

I think he's got a troll body though, same as the other ZA bosses.

Dunno if you're a sockpuppet account, but please don't spread false info.

That video only shows some of the skins that are offered in the Druids of Azeroth skinpack hack and it has nothing to do with the upcoming new skins.

The thing is, I hadn't really planned on having any tanks at all. My pally was a healer in TBC til my guild needed a tank. So I went prot, and even though I'd done it before it just clicked for me, and I was hooked. Now I only go holy if the guild REALLY needs it or as a favor to a friend.

My problem seems to be that I can't stand watching people do things badly. When I was levelling my dk, I pugged a lot since I really enjoy running dungeons, and a lot of the tanks I met were...I don't even want to think about it :/ So I bought dualspec, got some tank gear made and started doing it on my dk, and now that people know I have one and can actually tank I don't get many offers to dps. Which I don't mind really, tanking is fun and I am fairly good at it (tooting my own horn? D:)

I originally made my druid to be a healer, but I like to try new things out so I'll almost certainly end up with 3 gearsets at 80. My warrior is the same - just hit 40, already has dualspec and some gear to match :p

All that irrelevant stuff aside, did anyone else feel the urge to watch The Lion King after seeing the new tauren cats?

New graphics are nice...but I do have to question why the Nelf cats, maybe Tauren's too but I don't have one so didn't look at the new models, have collars with jingly bells. We put those on our house cats to help notify birds and such before their untimely death. If I jingle and scare off my prey I'm gonna be pissed! :)

Nah, Tauren cat forms don't have those spheres hanging from their neck. I'd guess it's because we already have a mane taking much of the space.

I dunno why people are making a fuss about it, I think they look like the blue spheres hanging from the Raven Lord's neck, except there's 3 instead of 2.

There's not a lot more they can do without a ton of overhead...they can't really change the basic framework of the model, nor how it behaves. Increasing poly count goes a long way to improving the overall look and feel, more than these still images tell. I'm pretty confident we can expect our characters to 'fold' less and actually move and flex limbs properly, plus the texture changes.

It's not like this changes in any way how we play the game anyhow. It's a bone blizzard is throwing our way, and I'll take whatever I can get in that regard. They get enough complaints about actual things that matter.

Like what? Raid instances being too easy/hard? PvP being skewed as hell? They've been dealing with that since the beginning of times.

Seriously, if they could give my Death Knight badass armor from the get-go, how hard is it to add armor to the Druid models? They don't even have to change the hitbox, if that's what you're referring to with 'framework'?

They could add as much crap to the models as they wanted without it affecting PvP or PvE in any way. Well, maybe if they made the model huge like Ursoc, but hey, why would they? It's nice that we get more polygons and new colors, but why did it all have to be such a massive pile of fail? White kitty with pink tattoo? Bear with sideburns? Female Tauren get male Cat form and male Night Elves get emofail Cat form.

Look at the paws on Cat form. Not a lot of Mangle and Shred over them. More like Thud and Scratch.

And my Druid has green hair, for various reasons. According to MMO-Champion, this means I'll get the gray Cat form with a green necklace. You've got to be kidding me. Seriously, they might as well strip us of Prowl, because no one is going to miss my Cat lurking in the shadows when he's looking like he crashed into the Scissor Sisters.

It's hard to really get a feel for their exact appearance in a frozen shot with only one type of lighting. I think you'll see certain tones that may not be as apparent in the screen shots come out more in-game, especially with the night elf forms where there are very subtle variations in tone throughout each cat and bear model to give them that Darnassian look. :)

I love the tauren bear and kitty. The Nelf forms look cute; they just make me go 'Awwww' instead of 'Ahhhhh!' Unlike many people on the forum, I do not want gear implemented onto my forms. My cape still clips into my mount, why would I want them to work on getting my gear to fit properly on my shapeshifting body? I just think that if they were to do that, we would be stuck looking at something worse than the original forms for a very long time.
