I've been a protection warrior for as long as I can remember. Ive done some raids, 25 man OS, 10 man Naxx.. and I'm wanting to change to PvP. What gear should I get to start getting into BG and what spec? Arms or Fury.. help a brother out ;D - - Or should I stay prot and spec different?

I personally stayed as Prot for pvp, but with different gear and spec. This way I know where all my buttons are (no hitting something by mistake thinking I'm in a different spec), and I am experienced with this style of playing. Obviously it has some severe weaknesses but I'm enjoying it and that is ALL that matters.

Googling for prot warrior pvp should get you some talent builds, but ensure that you play about with them and find a build that you like (be it arms, fury, prot or a crazy hybrid build). There's no point trying to adapt to the cookie cutter build. Instead adapt that build to your style of play.

Just give it a try. If you don't get on with it respec. You've only lost a few dailies worth of gold (and probably a couple of glyphs), but most importantly enjoy yourself.

I'm going to agree with what he said, try prot pvp. You know all the prot spells and you'll probably defend yourself nicely with it. Have a lot of fun with spell reflect too.

But if it feels like you're not getting to kill fast enough or well enough you should probably try arms. It gets killed much easier than prot, but it has many tools that prot lacks and hits much harder.
