Are there any Level 80ish craftable weapons that are worth the expenditure
of the mats involved? Please differentiate between Kitty and Bear. Thx.

Not really the Argent Tourney staff is to easy and cheap to get.
Plus none of the crafted weapons have Agility.

That's pretty much the only one I've heard worth being considered - sigh - while ferals have at least been upgraded we're still on the bottom of the totem pole for melee weapons.
Even the whole "let hunters use staffs and druids use polearms" thing only really seems to have helped the hunters - don't think I've yet to see a druid using a polearm in earnest.

With that in mind though one would have to question the massive expense of a TD when SoT is so easily obtained with just a tiny bit of luck.

I've started hitting the crafted gear pretty hard for my alts, using the titansteal weapons and other best available crafted gear. For most classes it means I am Naxx ready without having to do any heroics. With so many alts, gearing them up through heroics that I am already sick of would be very time consuming.
