Playing a priest for the first time...Follow
Sometimes, just for fun, I click on "attack" at the beginning of a fight. An occasional swing occurs during cool down which levels my weapon.

(When you're decked out in purples and can kill most anything with just PW:S and DP, skilling up weapons is easy)
Just a quick question...anyone here dual specced disc/holy? If so, how do you like it?

I am. I like having the option to switch from my main spec of disc, to holy on Lotheb. I can pre-cast PoH and follow it with CoH, each healing cycle. It worked out pretty well.
I also can try holy on other fights. I did that tonight in Ulduar and felt like a fish out of water. Anyway, I do like having the option. I'm keeping my shadow specific gear in the bank, in case I change my mind again.
At level 41, Shadow doesn't impress me. Maybe it gets better, but I have more fun, and level faster, as Discipline. I think I'll scrap my shadow spec for now and try Holy. That way, I get a feel for both sides of priest healing. Maybe it'll help me be a better healer in the long run. Thank you for your input!

For Disc, I pull with mind blast, then SW:P, Devouring Plague, Holy Fire and Smite (If necessary), and when the mob is at about 20%, I use my wand.
For shadow, I don't really remember, but its something like, pull with MF, then MB, SW:P, DP, wand (or if its still above 50%, I use MB again).

I like it a lot, seeing as my gear allows me to AOE-grind myself through dailies with Holy Nova and I don't do shadow at all anyway. That said, I do spend about 80% of my time in a raid instance as disc and only 20% as holy; due to the gear I've got disc 'raid healing' is often more effective than holy raid healing. Also, I usually run with a druid and paladin in my group; with the druid being designated raid healer and the paladin designated MT healer I prefer disc over holy because it's a little more mobile and has more survivability - I usually see myself as the "spare healer" who helps out with stuff the paladin and druid can't do, and disc is simply better for that role. That said, I do ocassionaly go holy because Guardian Spirit is made out of 80% win with 20% glyph added, and I'd probably go completely holy if I got stuck together with two paladin healers.
