Tanking vs FearFollow

Looking at the talent trees Frost gets Lichborne and UnHoly gets On a Pale Horse... but what similar ability does Blood get?

On the other hand, Lichborne is supposedly only a PvP talent.

I'm just wondering how the DK tanks out there handle fear effects (Priest's fear ward aside)? Do you try to get at least one of the above abilities, or do you swap out one of your tanking trinkets for an anti-fear trinket when you know a fear-ing boss is just around the corner?

Or do you find that fears don't really cause your tanking any problems and so you don't make any concessions for it? In which case, can you give me some tips please. :)

I don't take Lichbourne in my Frost tanking build, nor OaPH in my Unholy one.

For one thing, I am Human. We, and Forsaken, have a built in anti-fear. But, if I thought a fear would be a problem in a fight (assuming no priest nor shaman), I would probably just bring my trinket.

Shaman, remember, get Grounding Totem AND Tremor Totem. The latter is far superior in most cases (specifically if considering fear), but a quick Shammy could drop a GT if the spell has a cast time.

Though, that would take away the WFT from the group... But TT takes away SoE...

Luckily, fears aren't that bad. XD

Is fear considered a magic effect? If so, Cleanse could remove it, too.

But, the best defense against a fear is to learn to anticipate them. Build threat spikes when you think one is coming. That way, even if you can't build threat, you hopefully have enough to last through the effect before the boss goes for your healer.

Likewise I don't talent for it either. Lichborne used to be great, but not so much now.

DKs have an advantage in that we don't even have to PvP to get an anti-fear trinket. I just bring that in my bags and swap it in if I feel it necessary.

To build on what Rasen said:

I don't know how long you have played your DK, but prior to 3.1 Lichbourne was pretty awesome, because it gave a massive boost to dodge as well as the immunities.

But, Blizz got rid of that. : (

So, very few builds take it now.
