So I'm learning the lock class. Have to say it's been lots of fun so far. Lots you can do. Fell in love with Afflic though. The drain/tank just rules. Mad farming and no down time.

I'm reading a few of the threads here and have one questions though.... as I know I don't know how to.

How do you use your Scub properly?

Thanks for helping out the newb.

In drain-tanking, the Succy is used to get initial damage on the mob(s). Then you grab aggro and finish them off. In instances, the succubus is mainly used for crowd control through the use of seduction on humanoid mobs.

Succy is good in pvp too. it stays invisible so people assume some pally 2 shotted your fel puppy, then they see some hearts floating over their head followed by 5 dots on them and fear chain. have to say thats pretty fun

I find my affliction based dot/drain tanking with a succy works so well for me at my level of 31 as i rarely get seriously damaged and i have not had to use the healthstone more than a few rare times and of course my mana does not run out unless i manage to pull more than two mobs at a time.

My way may not be the best but seems to make little difference to me , i have my succy on defensive and all i do is select a target and dot them which makes the succy attack the target i have selected and as i drain the targets soul she is free to deal the maximum damage , you can also set your succy to attack a target first but the end results are exactly the same from my experiences , now at higher level of course instances are very different but i have not got high enough yet to find out.

I find the succy great with humanoids as she automatically turns on the charm if you have two mobs attack which at first did surprise me and i have learnt to take good advantage of that .

Meh, I just wish the "auto" of that spell was "auto-repeat" instead of "auto decide when to use it if at all".

The way it is I have to keep targetting the seduce target over and over for each cycle.

I usually totally ignore the seduced target and do not apply any dots to that target but act as if i am just killing a single target which once dead i then dot/drain the seduced target so never even need a second cycle to happen and have found if another mob decides to attack after i start to dot/drain her target she will almost always seduce them , perhaps i should be applying dots to both targets but i am assuming if i did that the seduction would probably break ?.

Should i be applying dots to both targets if one is already seduced or does that break the seduction ? i know i can try it out but was just wondering ?

The dots will break the seduction as will any damage done to the target. It can still be helpful if the mob has a bunch of dots on them cause, while it won't last, it can break something the mob is casting, it's like a quick stun.

You can also get the glyph of succubus that removes all dots from the target she is seducing. It can be helpful if you have a few dotted up and get overwhelmed.

Thanks for that info i was wondering about that glyph as it seemed a bit pointless but now it does make sense but i doubt i will use it as i am a bit slow at applying dots with my lazy playstyle.
