Before people start, my main is a priest, and I didn't see any obvious current build links. I'm asking because I noticed one of the rogues I was raiding with was currently unspeced >.< (to be honest, he was a filler DPS spot)
He currently uses Sword MH and fist OH. I used to play rogue, but I'm not up on current combat builds. I was thinking of 'suggesting' this build for him to use.
Can I get come feedback before I have a little chat with this rogue? (I'm not a raid leader, but I don't want to call him out without talking about it with him and seeing if it was just an honest mistake, or if he needs some guidance).

This is the cookie cutter combat build, IIRC. The 5 weapon points can be put anywhere, depending on weapons.

Here is that I would suggest for leveling. Start with spirit tap and don't point any points into darkness until you need filler points to get further down. The important talents are Spirit tap, Mind Flay, Shadowform, and pain and suffering. You can skip improved shadow form if you keep a shield on you, otherwise drop a couple points into improved VE. Once you have most of the important shadow talents, go into disc for meditation. Once you have all those, spend the last few points as you see fit.

I ran into the being "unspecced" appearance for awhile. Shortly after dual spec came out, I started losing my spec when people would inspect me etc.

The 2 main combat specs I've seen are 15/51/5 and 18/51/2, both using Fist mh/Dagger oh. There may be a new one emerging as there is a very nice oh sword in Ulduar that may make fist/sword dual spec popular again. Fist/sword can use either variant(full relentless or vile poisons) by simply dropping 2/2 impSnD, 2 pts in precision and the 1 pt in endurance for 5/5 sword spec.
