Guys, quick question,
I have just watched a youtube 25m kill of emalon in preparation for our guilds first attempt, It appeared that a hunter in this video left his pet on the boss whilst he cast frost nova. It didnt die?

Am I seeing things or do pets not get effected by this?
Thanks for any help

Most boss AOE doesn't affect pets.

That's not correct I think, most abilities that target specific players can't target pets but general AoE can hurt pets.
Avoidance takes care of most of that though.

Although I remember Supremus once ran after "Fluffy"
Vent exploded with who the @#%^ is that?
He almost caught up to me as I was laughing so hard.... damn guy decided that my ravager looked tasty.

I think it's a bit hit and miss. I know I always left my pet out on saph, and never noticed his health going down, and I'm pretty sure the aura didn't affect him either, although that could just have been bloodthirsty and avoidance. Either way, you can ignore most things. Just not waves on sarth.

Hey, this was my 3000th post.

Smiley: lol

Though, they might also have been laughing at your choice of pet names. Smiley: schooled

I miss BT, what little I got to see of it. So much more fun than Naxx.

Agreed x1000, WotLK raiding is just terrible, and incredibly easy.

Can you think of a better name for a ravager?
And I hate the way they look, so I only pulled it out at raids and thought I might as well make fun of it.

Although I've also wiped the raid with my pet once.
I named my windserpent HighVoltage (after the AC/DC song) and we were at High Astromancer Solarion, where the healers have to assist Sol to heal whomever she is targetting.

Guess what happened when all the healers used the macro
/assist high
/cast <inserthealhere>

Yeah... that was funny as hell.

Edit: And Ulduar fights are pretty cool, better than BT fights probably.
Some bosses in BT (Supremus, shade of akama I'm looking at you!) were just incredibly lame and boring.

True, it is hard to find good names for em. I've seen a screenshot somewhere of a pink and purple one named Precious, and I named my belf hunter's ravager MyHat.

Cuddles would have been funnier than Fluffy, though.

Ok, I can breathe again.

That wasn't on purpose, was it?

I just genuinely lol'd.

I have some fond memories of going into my rival guilds vent when they were stuck on Naj (they were baddies), and yelling "Throw spines now!" every thirty seconds. They couldn't get past him for months ;)

Naj totally raped you if the wrong (a.k.a. stupid) people got the spines.

Had a http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/mobs/mob_infestingjormungar.html named Cuddles... that was my favorite.

Was a hunter here had a ravager named BobSaget, I always like that to.

Yupp, as for Wrath raids being Easy.. i am going to have to disagree there. Sure naxx and such was cheese mode. HOwever some of the Ulduar hard mode boss fights are awesome! I really think blizz did a great job with some of those encounters.

Yeah, I know Ulduar is supposed to be awesome...too bad I am guildless right now. What I saw of it looked awesome, though--too bad the group wasn't a little better organized. Smiley: frown
