i found a nice collection of GC Blue posts all relating to game development and community feedback. i am one of the people that challenges the vision of the devs and questions their commitment and ability. however, this thread made me a little less cynical. enjoy.

I didn't have to read that to feel any less cynical. I don't think it's possible for me honestly. I used to read the O-Boards a lot, but I got fed up with all the crap that goes on there, so I started looking for an alternative: that's how I got here however long ago it was.
GC is right: they have to be VERY careful how they respond, because anything they say is inevitably going to be picked apart and twisted around to fit the views of whoever is reading them. Every time Paladins get nerfed, you have people bringing up the fact that GC said, "TO THE GROUND BABY", but they fail to give the whole quote which lets the reader know very clearly it was a joke. And there's far more than just that.
I have to agree, I wouldn't want their job. Trying to be reasonable with a very unreasonable posting crowd would be way too much to handle.

I hate the O-Boards. Bunch of QQ'ers who are looking for GC to personally stroke their Epeen. I think GC should respond less and be more vague. Everything that is written in blue gets pulled apart and restated to fit a poster's personal agenda.
