Loot Rules questionFollow

Hi

I need to ask something about Loots.

In my guild there are ppl with different gear and abilities. There are full epic ppl of lvl 200 items , there are full epic ppl with 213 items, there are ppl with eye of eternity items ,there are people with blue items , there are ppl who suck as players in healing, DPS ing or tanking and there are ppl that excel and doing whatever they are asked to do. The guild can put all of the above and form a team of 18-22 people max in a raid.

The thing is what happens to loot ?? Who gets what and why.....

Last night I told the raid that some people should have priority in loot beacause the have Zero to 3 items that they might be interested in looting. I said that those people are boosting the raid and have so little items to loot.I also told the raid that That I m passing all my loots to the other tanks of the raid in order for them to gear up a bit.And the 3 (4th?)rd thing that I said was that everybody should get something out of the raid and since this was the 2 naxx attempt of the week and some ppl rolled the previous time and got items they should leave rolls to the other players.

The result...??

Why did I open my mouth (?)

About 5 or 6 people ( of my guild only) complained about all of the above.

'No the loot should be reset each time we enter Naxx' ----> That was from players that had already loot the previous time
'No people should not have priority'
The intersting part was that some of the complains were also made from people joining the Uldar 10 man raid that I have already invited (Why are they greedy on lvl 213 items since they have a chance of looting more items??)
'What do you mean they are boosting us??'

The Best healer we had left the raid (because they didnt respect the fact that he was boosting the raid and had nothing to roll for)We paid his absence 3-4 wipes...
A Loot bug occured.!!..everytime we killed a boss the loot could not be passed from master looter to players!!!!Even the master looter didnt have priviledges to right click on an item and distribute it...( voodoo magic)

Should I bother to raid lead the next time we go to Naxx as tank(?), stop making the invitations for the raid and let some other ppl spend time in organizing, not explaining bosses , or simply be greedy, play as an undergeared DPS ( We got lots )who just complains about loot ,have repair costs from blue items and not form lvl 213+ , Roll on items that i need for my dual spec (arms) since I ll be joining as DPS? (I feel I have more loot to roll for as a DPS rather as a tank and since I m not rolling for tank loots, then why am i playing??) I believe that ppl dont understand the importance of a good DPS scoring 4000+ DPS , a healer that simply will not let anyone die ( we had 0 wipes last time) and a Tank that just dont dies.
I also think that they are way to greedy because the people who needs 0-3 items means that he will probably roll for BOE items or from The last 2 bosses ....up untill then HE is Fraking passing all the other loots for god...ouf...

I mean if they dont respect the raid leader opinions in looting ,then why do the trust him as raid leader? Correct??

So Whats your opinion on master looting and on the above?

My current guild is using Suicide Kings in place of DKP. It's easy and fair, once it's established.

It's for tiered guild runs only, which means if you PuG for 25 mans, do something else.

And in PuGs, master loot is important. Ninja's happen.

When I was pugging Kara in BC, we'd use a master looter, and have people roll primary spec need first.
If no-one had a primary spec need, off spec second.
Then (if we had an enchanter in party) roll on the disenchant mats or roll to who ever wanted it.

::EDIT::

Actually, I understand what much of the people where complaining about.

If you show up for a raid, and you have an item that drops from anything that you want. You feel like you should have the right to have a chance at it.

But from a raid leaders understanding, you want top performance from every player. And you just gotta realize that's not gonna happen in a casual guild (they are casual if they are all being greedy like you described). Top players will show up more often, get more loot and perform better.

As a side note, a previous raid leader would hand out gear based on performance in raid. DPS would get DPS gear based on their DPS in that fight, healers would get healing gear on their healing and tanks ... got tank gear MT > OT > OTdps. I personally despised this system, but it got his top ten, or so, players hella geared out. Once they had their gear they boosted everyone else by passing.

There are some addons that interfere with MLing. Disable them, try again.
