My DPS sucks...Follow

I turn to the rogue forums here to tell me why my DPS is sucking.

Heroic Training dummy after 740k damage and I was doing ended at 2.6k DPS. I do about 4k on XT 25 man.

Armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Argent+Dawn&n=Lineli

I have Ring of Invincibility instead of Mobius Band and another +16 Hit gem in my Chest piece is the difference from armory last I checked.

Things I can think of that will help and that I'm working on.
1. Berserker on my weapons. I'm going to stop being lazy and get it on SR, but don't want to drop the gold for it on a blue.
2. Aformentioned blue, I really need a better off-hand dagger which I will than put berserker on.
3. A better belt.
4. My rotation maybe? I do pretty much the standard rotation/priority list. Mutix2->Envenom->Mutix2->Rupture->Mutix2->Envenom ad nauseum. Refreshing HfB when needed, though I probably need to wait til the timer on it is lower before refreshing it. Would dropping rupture(assuming another bleed is on the target) and only spamming envenom be better?

I realize it may be a case of "suck less, get better gear", but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything that was glaringly obvious.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Forgot to ask if it might be better to go Combat with Crinsom Steel/Kinetic Ripper.

Firstly, I wouldn't get berserking on SR they will get replaced fairly quickly from Ulduar.
A really nice MH dagger Daschal's Bite drops from any trash, 2 so far in our guild.
Also Golem Shard OH from XT which has dropped once for us so far.
If you have the money you can put zerking on SR if you really want, I wouldn't bother for LPC.

Secondly, remove every single hit gem you have. Full raid buffed with 5/5 precision with a shadow priest/moonkin you only need 237 to be capped. Being alliance you will also get draenei presence and so only actually need 210 for it to be capped. However I always like to be little bit higher than this in situations I might not have a SP/moonkin avialable or whatever.
Your expertise also seems a little low, replacing the hit with expertise will be better.

For your OH, pug some naxx heroic Webbed Death will drop soon enough, and if not you'll get the ones I mentioned from ulduar. Again for your belt, easy to obtain. A nice one drops from ulduar trash, and a very nice one can be bought with conquest.

Also your spec, move the 3 points from Turn The Tables to Master Poisoner, it gave me a nice DPS boost. Some people find 2 in MP and 1 in TtT better, but see which works best for you.

Another thing: Glyphs you have SnD on the armory, get the Glyph of Hunger for Blood that 3% more damage lost.

Rotation wise: Garrote, HfB, Mutilate, SnD, Mut, Mut, Rupture, Mut, Mut, Env etc. works fine.
Just try and fit as many envenoms as you can in the time of the rupture, and pool energy. Rupture does have to have a 100% up time, I sometimes find if I have 5 Cp's as 3 seconds left on rupture I'll usually Envenom, then get rupture up afterwards letting my poison stacks tick away.

Final tip which I don't know if you do or not. Use vanish offensively, If you have lets say 3 CP's on the target, pool some energy, vanish, ambush and you get a small burst of cheaper spells for 6 seconds with overkill. In a fight like XT I can get off 2 Vansishes/Cold blood, and saving them for heroism for nuking the Heart boosts your dps. Also speed potions.

Not completely true, if you have another class providing bleeds (i.e. Feral druid/Arms Warrior), then you don't HAVE to have it up the whole time. I actually think that your dps will increase if you just spam Envenoms instead of putting ruptures in your rotation. However, if it is a movement intensive fight, you should put up ruptures for the extra damage while running around.

Also, I personally wouldn't go crazy with removing hit gems, but he is right you do need more expertise. I would say, if you have another rouge and you're trading tricks with him/her, you should both have the Trick of the Trade glyph instead of the HFB glyph. I have the HFB glyph in my rogue, but that is because I don't have another rogue to trade tricks with.

With the Trick glyph you get an extra 10% instead of the 3% from HFB. That is 280dps difference on XT based off of what you told us.

Edit: You could drop your rupture and SnD glyph and pick up the Trick and HFB glyph and get a 520dps increase. Assuming they stack, and I don't see why they wouldn't. I haven't tried this, or seen anything on it, so don't shoot, please.

Sorry thats meant to say does not have to have a 100% uptime.
Hence me talking about letting it drop for envenoms.

I'm pretty I remember reading on EJ that the dps gain for trading tricks is actually less that the static 3% gain from HFB.
It's also getting a nerf, making the Tricks last 4 seconds longer on the target instead of a 10% dmg bonus.

Yea, I was talking about trading tricks and using the HFB glyph, though. I haven't seen any discussions on doing that, though I haven't looked either. Even if they change it, it is still an 18% dps increase.

We both agree that SnD glyph should be dropped. I'm just curious on if it would be worth it to try the HFB and Trick glyph.

HFB/Mut glyphs are the only ones required right now; Rupture is kinda "meh" (I let Rupture drop quite a bit to Envenom, since I'm getting like 10k Envenom crits).

I can definitely see using the TotT glyph, especially after 3.1.2 (when it changes to 4 sec increase in duration). 10 secs of +15% damage is hawt.

Like I said, I haven't seen any discussion on it, nor have I looked, but I don't see why someone somewhere hasn't tried the HFB and ToT glyph. Total that is an extra 28% damage increase, and could be pretty insane IF you have another rogue with half a brain to pull it off.

Additionally, I think that the extended Rupture uptime is actually goofing up my rotations. It lasts just long enough that I can squeeze in three Mutilates before refreshing it, but that usually leaves me with a 3- or 4-point Envenom the next time 'round. If nothing else, the TotT glyph is a huge DPS boost for a fellow "deepser" (I'm coining that word right now).

Of course we can't forget the delicious 4 set rupture bonus. Our CL has the 4 set and his rupture crits are hitting for 2.8k. :O

Yeah, if you get the 4pc T8 set, you should probably get rupture back in, but until then...

Only time I put rupture up is when I envenom with 60+ energy, then get a ruthlessness proc and mut crit then hrm.. refresh envenom buff, pool energy or rupture.. I usually rupture and end up with another 4 combo points before the damn envenom buff is gone from the first one.

Gotta love 48% crit raid buffed..
