3.1 priest leveling specsFollow

#1 May 11 2009 at 3:58 AM Rating: Decent
Hey guys.

I browsed through the forums for 2 days now, that's the conclusions so far:
- Holy kicks ***. Don't go shadow. HN, smite smite wand, gg.
- Shadow still is far superior to holy. Much more mana efficient, more dps, et cetera pp. You can easily heal as shadow until 60, don't you worry.

Played 4 characters to 70 (in the good olde' times), and I really don't want to waste a minute because chosing an inefficient spec.

So could you guys help me out? I don't mind respecs, so you can also go for "first 3 points shadow, then full disc until 20, respec holy till 40, go shadow at 40 for shadowform et cetera "
Thanks.

If you want to level as a healer, you'll want 3 points in Spirit Tap first... then head into Discipline until you get 3/3 Meditation (and 1/1 Inner Focus, if you dig it). From that point on you either fill out the disc tree, stopping only to pick up Holy Specialization, or you start filling up the holy tree.

If you simply want to get to 80 fast, just put everything you have in shadow, 'nuff said.

Do either of the options Moz suggested or option #3,

Farm 1k gold on one of your mains and dual spec your priest disc/shadow. Swap out disc for holy if you choose but disc is my prefeered healing spec atm.

If you just want to level fast to 70 go shadow all the way until you get the first set of items from outland quests.

Then respect to disc or holy do the outland instances until you are nicely geared up.

Back to shadow to level up to 70. Then do what you want.

Great --- that's what I call the same opinion.

Shadow it is then - I just want to hit 80 as fast as possible.
