No, the fireball glyph doesn't cancel out Ignite. It'd have to be amazing to be worth it, and it's always worth having as a fireball mage. What you lose is the fireball DoT effect. That constant 20 or so damage a tick.

the main glyphs:
fireball mage are: living bomb + molten armor + fireball
frostfire: frostfire bolt, molten armor, living bomb
arcane: arcane blast, arcane missiles, molten armor
