Hi. I am posting here about going MM. I do not enjoy survival at this moment and would like to try MM and have seen this spec on several hunters

Please give your opinions on this spec and how it can be improved for Raiding.
The 2 points in focused aim I need for hit capping but they are essentially free points for others who are hitcapped.

Aspect mastery isn't worth 4 talent points, Silencing shot is free dps, imp. steady is bad, RR and Rapid Killing are good.

Out of curiosity, how is it free? 6% mana for 50% weapon damage vs. the other shots does not seem as good. Also 20sec cooldown doesn't make it a great filler shot either. The silence is pretty cool, but since most bosses are immune to it, this shot always always came across to me as PvP oriented.
What am I missing? I really like this shot, so please convince me.
It's not on the GCD.

Chimera doesn't share cooldowns with anything.
Basically as MM you fire (serpent > Kill Shot >) Chimera Shot > Aimed shot > Arcane shot > steadyshot.
As for imp. steadyshot:
in 90 seconds you have 60 global cooldowns.
You fire 10 chimera shots in 90 seconds. (glyphed)
You fire 9 Aimed shots in 90 seconds.
You fire 15 arcane shots in 90 seconds.
That's a total of 34/60 global cooldowns used on something other than steadyshot.
So you shoot 26 steadyshots.
In those 26 shots you will get roughly 4 procs with 3/3 imp. stead shot.
That's 4x +15% arcane/aimed/chimera shot damage in 90 seconds.
Now lets say that those procs give you, on average, 900 damage per proc. (which takes an average of 6000 damage for all 4 of the boosted shots)
That would be 3600 damage over 90 seconds or 40 dps for 3 talent points.
Then there's the fact that steady shots are the first shots to be left out when you have to run or something else happens that delays your shots (kologarn's grasp, AoEing on XT, Ignis's slag pot) and the dps you get from those 3 points diminishes even more.
Now assuming you really get that 40 dps out of 3/3 imp. steady, and you do 4k dps it's an increase of 1% dps for 3 talent points.
Which is pretty damn bad to begin with.
