About crit for DKsFollow

I'm not seeing anything anywhere about crit rating vs agility. All I wanna know, is how much does agility effect crit. In knowing that, I'll know whether or not agility is worth it or if I should focus entirely on crit rating (I'm keeping in mind also that, crit rating is not effected by kings, MotW, etc as a base stat is). Please, don't tell me which you think is or isn't without giving me some numbers proving it. Thanks.

Crit rating > Agi by a long shot.

Agi works on Melee crit alone.

Crit rating works on Melee and Spell damage.

Neither. No build that I have seen would "focus" on Agi OR Crit Rating. They are both down the line as far as our concerns. Expertise/Hit and Str are primary as you get no (as in zero) AP from Agi.

But, for what it's worth: 62.5 Agi = 1% crit (source)

Based on devioususer's comment, I can see how crit is better than agi. However, as far as I understand, most of DK's abilities are melee save for a few spells. So on that, agi isn't completely pointless. If I am mistaken, please let me know.

And regarding Therion's comment, I am keeping my gear focusing on my main stats. However, some gear can come with other nice bonunes. As far as hit is concerned, it has a cap, so not ALL of my gear will have it. But, say a chest comes with str, agi and stam. Depending on the numbers, I may go for that or another one which has no agi, but crit instead, lower str and stam, but a red and blue slot. Now, according to the conversion you posted, 62.5 Agi = 1% crit, the chest without gems gives more crit. Also, it has hit in place of the crit rating.

So, with this I think I've made my choice. I thank you guys for you input.

Values vary a little based on spec but none of them hold Agi or Crit as a top priority. Sta, Hit and Exp are your top three. Agi is at the bottom, crit is just above base AP.

Stat weight sheet in the first post. It's outdated but still relevant. Ar-P has recently received a boost and is much more desirable now, especially for Blood.

If you're looking at prime stats, you want Str. "Bonus stats", go with Hit and Exp until you're capped, then Ar-P. Crit will kind of come on it's own with other stats, along with AP.

According to Ghostcrawler, Ar-P has a soft cap but based on current raid testing, Ar-P can actually push a mob into negative armor.

As for Blood, it's still in testing but the early tests show Ar-P edges our Str around 6K AP.

EJ Find the thread based on your spec and do some reading.

Assuming both pieces keep you over or near the Exp/Hit caps, always take the piece that offers more Str either via stats or gem slots.

Tertiary stats such as Crit, Haste, ArPen, Agi, &c don't really matter all that much. I might consider ArPen now for Blood builds as "best of the rest" and would treat Crit that way for deep Frost builds. But wouldn't sacrifice any Str for them.

Happy hunting!
