Kill Shot macroFollow

#1 May 04 2009 at 9:52 AM Rating: Default
Scenario: As a hunter you're in a 5v5 match and someone on the opposing team is at 20% health or lower.

Question: Is there a macro that will automatically target that player with your kill shot to make it less likely that they can get a heal off on that person?

Any replies greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I doubt it--it doesn't really sound like the kind of thing Blizzard intends for macros to do. I know you can set up the combat text to notify when you can use Kill Shot on your target, but I don't think you can set up a macro that checks the health of the entire team and fires off a shot without your input.

Well my input would be me pressing the button, perhaps if I was notified that someone was on low health, and I was able to hit the button as soon as it popped.

Without a single shred of doubt not possible.
Auto targetting and firing a shot with 1 push of a button is way too automated.

Just get Gladius and make a keybinding for Kill shot.
Then you can just do.. say Alt+right click on who you want to fire kill shot at.

Or make a mouseover macro for kill shot.

So what you're saying is that I can't just smash my head into the keyboard and win? :( bs

Aethiens suggestion of a mouseover macro would probably be the easiest way to do this.

Like the others have said there just isn't any way to bot this. BUT you can get kinda close. I am not sure if you are using a focus target, but I did a lot when I arena'd. Then what you can do is have the focus's target displayed. When the healer is targeting someone who is low health, use a kill shot on that player.

/cast [target=mouseovertarget] Kill Shot

This is what I would use (although the spelling might not be correct, you may have to look up mouseovertarget to make sure)

I also had a similar macro for Aimed shot to give the healer targets the MS debuff.

I think the macro would be the best idea, I've never used a mouseovertarget macro or anything like it, but perhaps it'll be more efficient with the fast pace of arena. Thanks for the tips everyone.
