Shammy Spec? Not raidingFollow

#1 May 02 2009 at 6:25 PM Rating: Decent
So I'm a bit torn. I've seen some good advice on what to do for big raids and PvP and all that, but I haven't seen someone ask my question. I'll be playing with a warrior in a 2 man group, and that's pretty much it. From there, I'm confused as to what spec to go for. I don't want to sit there on my laurels and just heal, I want to help kill things AND keep us alive by healing. I've seen someone say just put a few points into resto and then go with one of the other two, but I don't know which would work better. I like a varied play style as I tend to get bored with just the same thing over and over again.

Thoughts?

Speccing enhancement may be an option here. If you go deep enhancement (at least until maelstrom but get the wolves while you're at it) you can dps and meanwhile instantly heal yourself or him if anyone of you needs it.

It will lower your dps of course but considering what ure off to that shouldn't hold you down right?

We need a bit more info. What level are you? What kind of content do you want to duo with your friend?

As Thij said, Enhancement could be a good choice. With maelstrom weapon, you get an instant cast heal and you can do some pretty nice damage.

Elemental could work also. With SP gear you'll deal good damage and your heal should be more then enough to keep the warrior alive although a bit slow. The thing to remember is that if you are only running normal solo content as a duo, every spec combo will be overkill and you shouldn't have any problem blowing through most of the quest.

Personally I would go enhancement.

Thanks, just starting out and that's why I was asking. We'll just be doing PvE and whatever dungeons we can get through. Currently, we have a druid and hunter duo and are doing the same thing. Just wanted to try something different.
