Catchy title eh?

Well I am returning this game after being dragged back into it by my friend...again.

I started a Druid back in 2006-07. Then quit again and came back in 08. I got said Druid to 70 and then started an alt. To which I got 46 and then complications arose and I shelfed the game again.

Now with the approach of summer and the realization that not too many good game are bein released during the summer. He goaded me back in.

So I plan to make a new druid because he wants to play on a PVP server. (To which I agreed somewhat, because I have an insaitable bloodlust when it comes to pvp in this game.)

So I have a few questions since it seems the druid has been vastly improved in some area while toned down in others.

1. Do we still have a combat rez or has that become a resto talent? I only looked at the Feral tree and Skill lists.
2. Are Druids still a redheaded step-child expected to heal in pug groups?
3. Is strength still a great stat for Cat druids or has Agility been fixed?
4. How is the itemization in WOTLK as opposed to BC? I remember I had to go back to using staves for they had beetter stats and such.n
5.Also do weapons affect our claw damage anymore? I could have sworn they did at one point.

We have both our battle rez (20 minutes CD now) and a regular rez. They are not talented, but you can glyph your battle rez to make it even better (no reagent, or rez to full health).

Both cat and boomkin dps are more than viable at the moment, and feral tanking is pretty good as well. We create a lot of hybrid-envy these days ;)

Other ones will have better answers than mine, I'm sure. I stack agility like crazy and have no str at all, for dps and tanking.

We use rogue gear for dps and tanking. Our talents and mechanics adapt those stats (AP and crit are converted to damage absorption, for example). All weapons give you feral AP now, so you can use a wider selection.

You mean enchants? Yes!
You mean weapon damage? It's converted to Feral AP, so it does in a way.

I don't have a whole lot to add.

Stats-wise, as Phoenix said, we use pretty much Rogue gear thanks to homogenization of gear. So you do get tons of Agi and pretty much no Str. You'd get it on your weapon maybe and jewelry if you compete with DPS DK's, Pallies and Warriors.

Before 3.1, Str was best. It boosted AP the most and with Savage Roar directly increasing the AP, it was the best way to improve DPS. Now it's a damage % bonus, so Agi becomes better again, providing both AP and crit.

While leveling, it's pretty much like it's always been, you can mix Str and Agi to your liking.
