What's the best race for a priest on alliance? I was on the Oboards and saw some good reasons why one race would be better than the other, but I still haven't been able to come to a sound conclusion. I have been able to eliminate night elves (no offense, just don't want to roll one). Humans get the spirit bonus and rep is easier to grind, dwarves get stoneform, draenei get the aura. I want to do both raid healing and raid shadow once I get up there. I also heard that each race of priest gets a spell that the others don't. Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me? Thanks

nope they changed that in patch 3.0 (i think that was it) so all priests have the same spells so just play the race you like the best or if you want the best char you can have then Humans

Theres a good summary of this in the priest guide. Humans are currently regarded as the best for pve, but there was a time when dwarves and draenei were considered the best - things change, and they may do so again. It matters little any more, as racial spells were taken away. Choose what you like the look of.

Human is the best because of the 3% spirit.
However, in leveling my dwarf can find milk, then melon juice in towns with the find treasure skill for when I need it.
Early on stoneform is useful.
Also in some quests Find Treasure is great, e.g. Outland Sucks! and How to Serve Goblins
Besides most mobs always aim to high and their shots go over my head.

Denari is not a bad race to play actually. You have the gift of naru a free healing spell.Also comes with heroic presence as well. Humans are good as well.
I think playing any race shouldn;t be a problem but I like my denari priest.
Not too sure about Horde side but I heard Undead are good.

The one you think looks most awesome in robes. The rest is pretty much six of one, half dozen of the other. If I was playing Alliance, which I wouldn't, but if I was, I'd go Human for the Spirit bonus, and because I love that Stormwind song.
I'm sticking with my Dwarf...even if I am always tripping over my robes.
