* Nether Protection reduced to 30% damage reduction, down from 60%.

* Shadow and Flame: Now also includes Shadowburn.

* Fire and Brimstone: No longer increases the damage of your Immolate spell, but now increases the bonus damage your Incinerate deals to targets afflicted by your Immolate by 6/12/18/24/30%.

* Conflagrate updated: Consumes an Immolate or Shadowflame effect on the enemy target to instantly deal damage equal to 12 seconds of your Immolate, or 8 seconds of your Shadowflame.

* Glyph of Conflagrate redesigned: When you use Conflagrate, the damage done by your next 3 Destruction spells is increased by 10% for 15 seconds if the Immolate on the target has 5 or fewer seconds remaining.

This is plain stupid,I don't know what to say,at least from PvP perspective ..

also deathcoil now heals for 300% the damage it deals... lol what wierd changes

the nether protection one was needed.. a destro lock could pretty much take on an army of casters due to that talent

the shadow and flame change is a buff as i presume it'll still affect inc/sb too

the conflag nerf was already there, just the tooltip hadn't been updated

the glyph of conflag change is.. 1. wierd and 2. very wierd..

the fire and brimstone change+ new glyph of conflag+ maybe the pyroclasm talent could be a slight buff/equal/slight nerf overall

the decimation nerf was deserved... that talent an INSANE dps buff, so the nerf was probably required... but hmm.. i'm thinking time to go try out affliction :)

Conflagrate glyph change is ********* If you have Backdraft, there's absolutely no reason to buff your Immolate spell at all.

I usually start out with Immolate and use Conflagrate early on to get the Backdraft buff for my Chaos Bolt and Incinerate. With Conflagrate now consuming Immolate, I'd get Backdraft, but I'd lose a huge chunk of damage on Incinerate, not to mention the loss of the Immolate DoT.

Now Conflagrate is a finishing move again, meaning Backdraft makes no sense. Unless you raid.

backdraft is still worth while. just means that now you will wait till the last tick of immolate again to use it, gaining a 10% damage bonus on your next immolate > inc > inc (or CB if it's up) as well as the 30% haste (and maybe 6% damage bonus if you talent into pyroclasm too).. personally I think it'd still be worth while for these reasons:

first immolate, normal damage

after first immolate, 10-16% bonus to its damage, so 10-16% bonus to the next conflagorate's damage too

incinerate deals more damage when immolate is on the target

immolate IS worth casting with a backdraft proc, contrary to popular believe due to how MASSIVELY LARGE it's DPSC is.

Source.

On Conflagrate:

We think at this point we might leave the glyph as it is on live (doesn't consume the Immolate), but we may still iterate some on the design on the PTR. Let us know if you actually get on and try it out.

Conflag glyph changed to way it was =P

I got a glyph that keeps conflagrate from using immolate, etc. if timed right you can use conflag at start and end. at least til they nerf that to. lol
