Appropriate Druid Land MountFollow

Ok, so usually don't give a damn about lore and such, but I've started to wonder if it's actually appropriate for a druid to ride on something he can be himself.

It's obviously not an issue in Northrend or Outland (if you don't count Wintergrasp) and in town you're usually faster at your goal with travel form anyway since there is no cast time. But for some reason I started thinking about this whole mount issue a couple of days ago, and for some reason it now seems completely wrong to hop onto my cat or watch others riding on bears.

So there is this dream of course of having a "swift travel form" kinda thing, cast time, out-of-combat requirement, at the benefit of epic land speed in addition to our regular travel form, but that really is just that - a dream.

Good chance that I'm just losing my mind or simply have nothing else to occupy it with, but what should a druid ride on, if at all?

Raven Lord. For the good of all, you have to keep this thing enslaved. It's absolutely not for the cool factor! :D

My thoughts exactly.

Raven Lord is the only fitting land mount for Druids. Like, evar.

Beyond the fact that I do think Raven Lord is the best.

The only other really good one would be the Swift Zulian Tiger.

I personally ride my Baron mount all the time. It's better than that fat kodo I have from brewfest.

Ya, but a Tauren on the Baron (or Horsemen) mount just looks funny. Remnants of "fat guy in a little coat"

Malfurion had a Stag mount, so you might be able to get away with a Talbuk?

If I can get around to using this nifty trick I know, I'll have my black war talbuk soon. I'm NINE battle tokens away :(

I've tried about 30 different mounts trying to figure out which I like riding around on the best, and I am not sure why but I always go back to the great grey kodo

Ugh, I hate kodo mounts. One reason why I am alliance.

I love the way I look on a talbuk. Put on the t4/s2 helm and it's even better you're just abound with horns and what not.

Any mount that allows passengers.

Riding off a cliff with a 'friend' or 2 along for the ride and then switching to flight form. Having vent on makes it funnier 92.6% of the time.

YES! New recruits learned very fast to never trust me around the Naxx summoning stone >:)

I'm in a new guild now, I'm gonna have to behave until they know me enough to be forgiving.

A cow riding around on a horse is the stuff nightmares are made of.

Well, the Tigers are a natural choice--they are defenders of nature with the NEs. The fact that you have learned to identify with the feline spirit helps.

Other than that, basically anything living works. However, the more minimalistic it is in armor, the better. Or, if it has it, as little metal gear as possible.

Bears work, too, but they are less cool. lol.

Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger are especially good.

Talbuks would, of course, be good.

..what do I ride...

Well, when I first started the game I didn't much care for a majority of the epic mount redesigns. To me the barding looks funny on Sabers and Horse, but the epic rams...

Swift Gray Ram

I worked so hard for him, even now I collect mounts I feel bad riding anything else. ::pride::

Personally, I'd love to be a stag.

I use a random mount macro. Usually the SKS mammoth, my cat from Darn or my beer fest mount.

I love beer fest.

Night Elf druid on an RP server.

If I'm on land I use my Baron mount, though it has gotten me several snide RP comments along the lines of "A true druid would never permit herself to come in contact with such an abomination"...my response was "but he has horns!"...needless to say I lost RP points with that group, not that I cared much lol.

If I'm going to fly I use my epic flight form.

If I'm going to swim, I usually use travel form till the water and dive in and switch to acquatic form (glyph ftw!). However, I acquired the turtle mount a few days ago so sometimes I mount up and take her in to the water for a swim.

Just tell them something like "It has given me much knowledge about where the souls of the animals and their spirits go once they leave the mortal realm" or something.

That, or something about how it was your friends horse, which the both of which died in the plaguelands.
