What the hell happened to Fury?Follow

Well, I'm coming back to the game after a long break and I find that Titan's Grip lost the hit penalty, but gained a damage penalty. Since I'm starting from scratch to play with a friend that finally got the game, I'm wondering if Arms has become superior to Fury for leveling for BC content? I was thinking of using this build to level with and use when not tanking and wondering if anyone saw any major mistakes with it.

TG got a nerf that insulted everyone by completely undoing the effect of another 5 pt talent on the fury tree. I don't know if old style dw of 1h weapons is still viable.

As for your build, you said grinding. Imp execute is only for killing bosses.

Just level as Prot, you will not be disappointed and will save a ton of gold in respecs.

Fury is dead... again. Well, not dead but not all that good.

Level as Arms, raid as Arms. I am and doing a nice 2.2K+ DPS in 10 mans (not amazing I know but not bad for someone who raids maybe once or twice a week).

Arms does more damage now than my fury build easily, is not CD based, lots of procs - me loves procs! - slightly less white damage, crit % appears largely unchanged - also love 10K execute crits especially when you do 3 in about 10 seconds. :D

^ That's me. : )

Choosing glyphs is the hard part imo. Swap out points in Deflection, Tactical Mastery, Cleave and Commanding Presence as necessary. Mace spec plus the 25% increase to the effectiveness of armpen is a good choice and so is the crit bonus for polearms and axes.

You could also swap the two points in Weapon Mastery (if you have the hit/expertise) for Second Wind which I found very useful in PVE and PVP for health regen. Not needed so much now with Enrage Regeneration.

edit: another bonus to Arms is that I'm no longer rage starved, I don't really need to keep Berzerker Rage up all the time like I did as fury.

edit2: forgot to mention I use the axe (with +85AP on it) from HC HoL for 99% of my combat - I have the Argent Sword equipped because it looks so damn cool, the axe has a bent handle, held together with duct tape is made up of 3 smaller axes since the shop was out of zomgwtfpwnz big ones.
