Arcane is the spec I use in PVE, I have enough gear to swap around to be hit capped for FFB too. I found that I generally do more DPS as arcane though, maybe because I don't have to sacrifice as much stats for hit, and maybe because it's less crit reliant. I am saving emblems for T7.5 pants, which I should be able to get tonight. But, gem, enchant and spec wise, is there much that I could change to get the most DPS?
My rotation for long fights is Arcane Blast*2 -> (Missle Barrage>Arcane barrage) or for shorter fights (more like mid length, since they have to live long enough) Arcane Blast *3 -> (Missle Barrage>Arcane barrage).
For Frostfire Bolt my priority was Instant Pyro > Living Bomb > Scorch (if imp rolling off) > Frostfire. I found this to give me less overall DPS, which I assumed was because of all the haste I have (damn hard to find decent crit rings).
But yeah, just general suggestions. I'm using a **** wand because A'nub rekan hates me.

Well, you're an enchanter, get the spellpower enchant on your rings. You're also a tailor, lightweave embroidery is the way to go for back enchants now. Those are improvements, but small.
Other than that, timing of cooldowns is really important. You want to hit them during heroism/bloodlust and learn to plan your mana usage around that. Learning to do that really helped me.
I had a similar experience with FFB vs arcane. I think the mana drain which was supposed to happen in Ulduar just didn't materialize. My DPS is down vs Naxx (a lot is timing of cooldowns and just learning how to do the fights), but still very good (and still better arcane than FFB). I don't find myself needing to switch over to FFB to avoid wanding.
and A'nub hates me too, it's ok... they'll put more good wands in some day
