I've recently returned to WoW after a pretty long break and have a 70 Warlock in S2 gear with average gemming and enchants. Currently he is spec'd for demonology because I don't know how much the talents have changed and I used to play SL/SL style. I would like to use him to run some lowbies through instances and take advantage of the RAF XP bonus. Can any give me an idea of the highest level instances I should be able to solo with him?

If you're skilled enough I reckon you could probably go as high as Stratholme and Scholo, especially if you're running others through to help out. That's level 60. If you're struggling with that, then Dire Maul should be your limit.

I wasn't able to solo Dire Maul at 70, but BRD (NOT Molten Core) and LBRS (NOT UBRS) were a breeze. What instances are doable depends on personal style, skill, and reflexes. The OP should experiment with all of the instances to figure out what ones he can do. Not only that but also not to give up after the third wipe.

Your not going to be able to get the RAF XP bonus as that is capped at level 60. I believe the two friends also have to be a limit number of levels apart (possibly, anything grey to one friend will not result in a bonus for the other).

It kind of depends on what you mean by "lowbies"

Soloing Scholo or Strat at 70 is fairly easy.
Your challenge will be to keep them alive.

I recently took a 42 through BRD and they got the achievement. But once or twice we misjudged aggro radius which was huge on that level. Also despite being a rogue the level difference meant that most of the mobs just saw straight through their stealth.

You need to know the instances well and may have to change your plan to cope with having a lower level in tow.

As has been said the RAF XP will not apply and experience caps on low levels so it may be easier to run them through lower instances where they actually have quests.
