What do you do while you drink?Follow

I managed to get to 72 without drinking a single time. Now, thanks to the passive regen nerf, I have 8 levels to go with a 30 second drink every four minutes. Personally, when I am drinking, I alt tab and make a quick forum post, or change my playlist. This isn't particularly interesting as an anecdote, so it should be easy for you to top it. Go!

I drink a lot less than that.

Let you mana fall till using a mana gem makes sense, Pop Gem. I think Anobix wrote a really good post about how you burn your first mana gem (On bosses) ASAP when you can get it's full MP - thus it is ready again later in the fight. I've been doing this on Solo and Groups now and he was right.

Usually this means your next efficient regen would be Evo. at like 20% mana (I don't go to Zero cause Evo and Drinks don't cover my full mana pool AND you never know when you'll get jumped.)

Followed up by another gem.

I can usually stretch it to 5-6 mins before a good "Sit down" and drink...

As for what I do - Mostly check Map/Quest info or check the LFG channel to see if there's anything easy/open.

*Also - I picked up the improved Invisible. See - I keep mage armor on all the time - I have Slow, FFB, and FB to slow mobs. I have Nova to snare.... Etc... If things go really bad - I just Blink/Invis. It's worth it to me to get the mana Regen while casting, but give up the minor shielding buff... This is purely for a lvl'ing spec - not to be used elsewhere... But lvl'ing solo is about efficiency and downtime reduction. I have just as many slows and snares pretty much, but I decrease my down time (oom) and have instant survivability - (Ice block to clear DOT, Blink, instant invis - takes me out of combat...)

After I went arcane I didn't really have to drink much, but I remember spending a number of those occasions lost in reverent contemplation of the pure awesome that is my gnome's moustache.

While finishing up the quests in Northrend right now I tend to "drink" more for health than I do for mana lol. That's mostly due to my raiding arcane spec though. Back when I was leveling and I was frost I rarely needed to drink with Mage armor up.

I don't really do anything though. I might open up my character panel and look at my gear or stats real quick, or open up social and see who's online in my guild, but that's about it. It's only 30 seconds, there's not a whole lot of time to do anything.

In-game drinking is a good time to refill my RL drink :)

talented 2 min cooldown evocation + glyph of evocation = no drinking, no bandaging, just leveling

AtlasLoot, Bejeweled, look at the same character screen I've seen a billion times, or catch up on whatever was happening in guild chat. I do hate drinking though, it's part of the reason I took a DK to 65 because they have absolutely no downtime. I don't like DKs, but I was jealous of how they quested and grinded. I mean I went 6-7 levels on 3 pieces of food that probably weren't even necessary anyways.

Yeah no kidding. My DK is level 70 and I still have like 15 of those potions you get from the starter area that give you runic power too. I never need to use potions on her lol.
