Macro HelpFollow

#1 Apr 19 2009 at 10:50 AM Rating: Decent
Hi there, was looking for a little help please.

Macros aren't my thing, but i know they make life easier. Was wondering what a macro would look like to equip an item in the main hand, then cast fan of knives then put another item back into the main hand (I'm combat running fist - dagger) want to get the most of dagger damage from FoK

Also, was looking for one that would equip weapon in off hand, cast blade flurry, then killing spree, then equip other weapon back into off hand.

Thanks

/equipslot 16 <secondary weapon>
/cast Fan of Knives
/equipslot 16 <regular weapon>

I don't see any point to it, but there you go.

You can't cast two spells that use the global cooldown at the same time (Blade Flurry and Killing Spree for instance). And again, I see no point to it. But you could use the above and adjust it to your needs.

I'm assuming you mean off hand? You should already have a slow weapon in the main hand. Anyway, slot 17 is off hand.

For combat you could do it a different way: Two macros that create a sort of "aoe mode" and a "single target mode." This avoids the continous weapon swapping that resets your swings and causes, at least for me, brief in game freezes.

Sinister strike replacement macro
/equipslot 17 fastdagger
/cast Sinister Strike

Fan of knives replacement macro
/equipslot 17 slowdagger/fist
/cast Fan of Knives

I haven't used them since I changed my UI in the last 2 weeks, but trash is meh anyway.

Ever since they changed the dagger damage component on FoK, macros like this are worthless. A 1.8 speed versus a 1.3 speed does not make that much of a difference.

yes, but I think he is wanting to use dual daggers to utilize the extra damage(pointless, but hey i've seen people with worse problems). Not necessarily more damage from a slower weap. I hope.

If weaponswapping is what you're trying to accomplish, I would suggest just making weaponswap macros and swapping manually. That way if you need to rattle off a quick fan to kill off the last of trash, it doesn't take you 3 GCD's to do it and swap back. In pvp you should be weapon swapping anyways.. so it's no big deal.
